Presario CQ61-423SA Notebook PC - Intel® Celeron® Dual-Core Processor T3100, 3GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, 15.6 HD Brightview Widescreen Display, Windows 7 Home Premium.

£361.91 - £25.00 Quidco (7%)

Most laptops around the £300 that I have found aren't even a reputable brand. Seems like a good deal to me.

I got a Dell Insprion 1545 with T6600 Core2Duo processor for £300 delivered (320GB, 2GB Ram, Win 7 Professional).

Puts this deal in the negative.

is that direct from dell?

Yup direct from Dell Outlet - says refurb but it's normally brand new (mine was).

They currently have free delivery (or they did a few days ago)

if the price was £30 lower it would be a great deal - business HPs are very well made.

Inspiron 1545 is utter rubbish - I have one.
Dell refurbs are not necessarily new - may and often do contain used components.

Why is the 1545 rubbish?

I've had a couple of dell laptops whilst I think their desktops are great and I wouldn't buy any other brand their lappys are garbage in terms longevity.

Yes but not generally available in quantity, so this is not a true deal like the one posted.

poor workmanship, cheap 'plasticky' feel, too glossy, noisy fan (while it's on so not always but certainly can get only worse), horrible, unresponsive touch pad ...

the price exclude vat

Not on my computer it didn't but why is that important. I provided a link to the DEAL as the deal link did not work. It was not to show a cheaper deal.

Yes, but at £300 it's a bargain!

Just tried to check this system on the Sony Business website, but either it's not possible, or their website is down (or I'm an idiot)

Any ideas folks?

Is is any cheaper?
