Are not these things designed to lure you in and pay £100s for extra pics?

Watch out for the upsell at the end. Don't be surprised if they don't let you choose which photo they have taken for your free 5x7. This will probably be quite a poor standard pose, then you'll have to buy any of the photo's that you actually like, for extortionate prices.

Always be wary of these things. Especially New ID, I've heard some very negative reports regarding them.

My friend did one of these and said it was an absolutely awful experience! She said the make up artist didn't know what they were doing so the make up looked really bad and she felt like a clown :D I'd avoid this, even for £7 .. total waste of a day!

Had one of these done, it is one hell of a rip off.
Nice if you are happy to have hair makeup and photo shoot but NO photos.
Cos the FREE photo comes with £5.00 delivery and £10 for them to airbrush and add colour to your pic which you really do need to have doneespecially when they show you the before and after airbrushing, or you may aswell just have had a nice photo done at home, so i was told by the guy selling us the deal to buy more photos

There is usually a huge pressure selling session at the end of these things and you will end up paying over the odds for small photos and a a massive amount for large ones. I would personally avoid.

Surely not - you mean they try to make a profit? Dreadful!

Its usually the first photo they take that's free and it will deliberately be crap, if you leave without spending a minimum of £200 you'll be lucky. Find a local photographer who should be completely transparent with their prices, it'll look like you are paying more but you won't in the end.
