Superb. Downloaded the Windows App and read some of the free classics. Will download this in anticipation of the new Android phone I will undoubtedly be putting more Kindle books on later this year.

Poor bloke must be turning in his grave. His complete life's work for the price of what he would probably call a 'sack of apples'! Brilliant!
#10
Blimey! Sorry craigstephens for the repetition but we posted at the same time and I hadn't even seen your post!

Good deal! Heat added

I don't have a Kindle Reader so bought it for 'Kindle for Mac' and was asked to download a software through Amazon so that I could read this one as well as other Kindle books on my iMac. However, the book shows an error when I try to load it in the reader.

Any one else who has bought it to be used on iMac?

Just bought a Kindle last night (when are they released/delivered ? After I bought it, pre-order, it said they were sold out !)
I have a load of books I have got from various sources, and am wondering how to load them when it comes, as it seems you need to send them to an email adress for God's sake !
Does anyone have an address for a nice sturdy CHEAP cover for the Kindle ? Seen some of them on Amazon and they're half the price of the Kindle ! Some of the better ones are almost as much !

PhilK - try eBay.

PhilK - try eBay.

Don't know about you, but Ive found eBay NOT the cheapest or best.
Often others know of links to far better quality, and cheaper too.

Wow, sold out? Wonder how many they've sold on pre order? I ordered mine on the day they announced them, can't wait! Have been ordering kindle books already.
Already use it on my ip4 but gonna wait to read these on the kindle.
#16
I suspect that a lot of these are on http://librivox.org/ if you prefer audio versions.

Voted cold. This joker has nothing on the genius that is Dan Brown.

Just connect it via the USB cable to your computer.

Third party covers will not be available until a very short time after release of the Kindle 3, as it's smaller than the Kindle 2 so any existing covers will not fit,

Still a vast improvement on what he was earning back then; don't suppose he's too fussed about royalties these days
