Thought i'd share this deal with you all:
The Daily Express is offering a completely free £5 bet in association with Betfair for the Grand National 2009.

Simply choose from:
My Will and Butler's Cabin (returns £25 if either of the horses win)
or
Rest of the field (returns £10 if any other horse wins).

Once again, this is a completely free bet for the Grand National and no deposit is required, just a name, DoB and email address. It's for new customers only I think and is limited to one bet per customer.
You only need to open an account if you win!

Good luck to all!

Says in the T&Cs

This offer is only open to people who do not already have an account with Betfair

Anyone know if I'll be able to use a different card to sign up a new account?

To participate in the Betfair 'free bet' promotion offering simply provide your correct name, date of birth and email address and nominate a free bet on the outcome of your choice for a given event. If you win you will need to register for a full Betfair account in order to claim any winnings. This offer is only open to people who do not already have an account with Betfair.

Worth comparing the odds with other sites first.

Paddy Power usually have good deals. They are paying out 1/4 odds each way on the first 5 finishers in the National today

It's completely free! Does it matter about the odds other sites offer? lol

so if you win how much does it cost to join so you can get your winnings?

It's free to register for their site, and there's no deposit required before you can withdraw your winnings either as far as I know (or well, as far as their T&C's say!) Speaking from experience, you don't need to deposit when you sign up to their site, so it's completely free!

but which do you choose ARGHHHHH!!! i can't cope with the pressure!
#12
sign up through quidco for £40 .You need to place £75.00 in bets ..but £5.00 from betfair is rubbish.

#21
I get "This offer is not available for your region" - strange, Im in UK with O2 ISP
#22
^ ditto the above. pants

Good offer, surely the smart bet is to go for the rest of the field rather than just those 2 horses? Maybe they are two of the favourites, but how often do the favourites win the national? lol
#24
Simply choose from:
My Will and Butler's Cabin (returns £25 if either of the horses win)
or
Rest of the field (returns £10 if any other horse wins).

So if i set up 2 accounts, and select different options, I'm guaranteed to get at least £10 (possibly 25) free?
#25
I bet on the rest of the field easy £10 :)
