#3

#4
Brilliant, I get the same problem ... "Oh you work for IBM ... well I've been having this weird problem with my computer ....... "

*lalalalalala I can't hear you go away knock yourself out I dont care your problem bla lalalala*

Its a bit pathetic. I mean I could start printing Tee Shirts with:

'No I won't fix your plumbing!' - for Plumbers.

'No I won't fix your employee problem!' - for HR Managers.

'No I won't fix your electrics!' - for Electricians.

'No I won't fix your Washing Machine!' - for White Goods Engineers.

'No I won't fix your car!' - for Mechanics.

etc etc. it MIGHT be slightly amusing ONCE but after that???

Here's a better resolution to your problems... http://tiny.cc/BhwRN

'No I won't have a sense of humour' - for Blasphemous

Jeez.

How about the local office monkey who's always getting pestered about other PC's whilst trying to do his non-IT work. You have a oneliner for that too?

--

Thanks OP; birthday pressie for local office monkey sorted.

Yeah thanks OP ...

Blasphemous ... sigh

Sense of humour? Sort yourself out man PeterUK! If you think wearing a Tee Shirt that says 'No I will not fix your computer' means you have a sense of humour I think you're probably struggling on a social level.

As I stated earlier, it MIGHT be funny the first time, maybe it'll be funny the second time but after that...? Hey, you guys are fully entitled to throw your money away. I'm just trying to give the 'other' perspective on this item. If you're so bothered about getting asked to fix other peoples PCs then as I alluded to earlier, just try asserting yourself. There is nothing wrong in saying 'I'm sorry but I don't do 'work' outside of work' or 'I've got so much on it's unreal. You might be better taking it to that shop down the road'. Anyone with any intelligence will 'get the point' and probably never ask again and probably tell everyone else not to.... which is what you want... isn't it?

And I in turn agree with you wii expert. I never made out that it is/was serious (I'm not saying you have said that I have said that either :?). As you will see from my posts, I haven't taken it seriously, I just don't find it funny. However, if there are those that think they need this to deter people then as I have said, assert yourself. Most decent folk wouldn't ask a Mechanic to fix their car for free so why should I be asked to fix a computer for free?

Price went back up to a tenner last time, looks like they've dropped the price again.

This shirt is hilariously funny. Seriously I have scored with perfect 10 supermodels just walking into nightclubs wearing this t-shirt. For this alone, it's the uber-bargain of the century.

I wear mine at work, fixed one and he told everyone how good I was now everyone bloody asking. Thing is I hate fixing computers, just because I'm good at it doesn't mean I enjoy it or would do it as a job ;-)

When I first saw this t-shirt I really couldn't stop laughing...absolutely hilarious....I even wet my pants. Unfortunately my pee pee flooded onto the floor causing my great aunt Bettie to slip on it and break a hip.....she's now in hospital and apart from needing a hip replacement she has now contracted a MDMA superbug....she's not laughing and neither am I, any more.

But she would probably have a huge :-Dgrin:-D on her face if she caught an MDMA bug.

I can see this will also make a geek irresistible to women!
Wow what a bargain?
#19
Good job they've still got XXL in stock, cause most of the cocksure IT wazzocks who might wear these are built like Wales.

(Yeah, I said Wales. All of it, with extra gut.)

If you think this was aimed towards IT Technicians I think you missed the joke..

Really? I was going to wear one to work in the hope it would stop people asking the "while you're here you couldn't just?" question. Not sure how this t-shirt would effect my future career prospects in IT though.

wish i had seen this months ago ..would have saved me the bother of 3 laptops and 2 pc's ... people that dont have anti-virus' ... sheesh !!!! :x

Quite a few people in here have misunderstood who this shirt is aimed at

I need one of these before I crack up totally :p and not the way that Blasphemous has obviously cracked up.

Just kidding by the way, don't want a 400 word essay on humour please.

There is a big difference though.

If you're a plumber or a joiner etc people expect to pay you for some wee home job for them. If you're good with IT stuff people think that you love computers and do it for fun.
#28
agreed. People tend to assume you dont mind giving your day off to spend it fixing other peoples Pcs, with a thanks at the end of it. Cheezes me off when OH is called at ridiculous hours to assist via the phone!

I asked my boss if I could get a few to wear as my uniform, I got a blunt refusal. I guess it's not suitable for those working in IT!

Well maybe you should explain it. Because aside from someone who looks like a stereotypical geek/IT worker, I don't see what's really funny unless "fix your computer" has some double meaning?!

There are many people who are knowledgeable with computers for reasons other than professional interests. Those people often get asked to fix friends/family/co-worker's computers, it's funny for those people. I also think it's funny if you do work in IT, in an ironic way.

The T-shirt isn't funny and never will be.
I work in IT but luckily I follow fashion and have friends so things like this are really for the losers who have probably never kissed a girl (real one).
Simple solution - Charge £50ph or tell your family and friends NO

£50 an hour for friends and family? Jeez, you're friends must find you a right laugh. I have no professional interest in IT either, am always called up for technical reasons, find this t-shirt amusing but hey each to his own I'm not going to start insulting people based on their idea of humour. And as for the follow fashion statement what does that even mean? With regards to the kissed a real girl comment, I didn't know there were so many forgeries prowling the streets, thanks for the heads up.

Nah, it;'s the ones who charge £50ph who rely on format c: for everything, and then don't know how to install drivers properly, so then proceed to say "you need a new sound/graphics/whatever card" ;-)

Where the rest of us say, nah - buy us a pint and we'll do the job properly :-p

Have you seen his car? If I was charging £50ph and a "follower of fashion" I'd certainly get a better car.
