Condorman is a winged creature created by a cartoonist who adopts its identity. Great special effects and crazy comedy.

Amazon.co.uk Review
A pre-Phantom Michael Crawford plays Woody, a goofy cartoonist-accidentally-turned-spy in this Cold War-era lark. In Paris visiting his friend, a CIA "file clerk," Woody is sent on a cloak-and-dagger errand and is mistaken for an operative by his beautiful Russian counterpart. She then contacts the agency with the demand that he, and only he, help her defect. Writer adopts comic book persona and voil?Condorman! This wide-winged hero thwarts the pesky Soviets at every turn. From the old run-down farmer's truck he's driving emerges a flashy race car that outruns a fleet of Russian vehicles. Later, in a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang moment, the car sprouts floaters, allowing the pair to escape their pursuers by sea. Barbara Carrera's Natalia--the true spy of the two--is really just along for the ride. It's Condorman's show, as confirmed by the ending: a shot-filled showdown off the shores of Monte Carlo.-- Kimberly Heinrichs

Awful film, even Micheal Crawford can't save it, Disney at it's worst.

Finally released on DVD - man this brings back memories. Enjoyed it as a kid but not sure I want to spoil it now...
EDIT: Doh - been out ages!

Seen it as a kid and loved it, wanted it on DVD a while but forgot about it, just bought it, probably really awful now, but never mind.

One of those films that I loved and watched loads as a kid...but I have no doubt that if I saw it now, it would be one of the worst films ever!!!!

If you liked Frank Spencer you'll probably like this spy movie spoof. There's a lot of Bond style gadgets/cars/boats and there's a bit of a takeoff of the older superhero movies as well. Yes it's childish and a bit predictable but it's still a good fun romp if you like a film with a bit of slapstick humour. Hot at the price!

worth watching for Barbara Carrera and Oliver Reed

Only film I have ever walked out of, even as a 9 year old I could see it was poor.
