Not a bad spec. At a glance it has full sized ports which is good, but the build quality looks a little iffy when compared to some of the other tablets that I've seen.

You can get a Linx 7 with pretty much the same spec for £59.99 right now via eBay. You can even get the 8" version with a slightly larger battery for £69 from very.co.ukif you're a new customer and create a credit account by using the discount code 4KMY4. You could also try to get 7% cashback via Quidco from Very.

I bought the Linx 8 from Sainsbury's Black Friday deal for my sister and absolutely loved it. Its as slick and fast as my Surface Pro and much more portable. Does anyone know how the Connect 7 compares with the Linx 8? According to Amazon the Linx 8 weighs 821g and the Connect 7 weighs 280g according to Tesco's website. That's seems incredibly odd but its the only real difference I could find between the two.

This looks like it's completely identical to the Linx - they're the same rebranded Chinese product. Might as well buy the Linx for £20 less.

The Linx is excellent value for money, and a perfectly serviceable tablet. They're very solidly built.

£69.99 - worth every penny and almost puts my Surface Pro to shame. I played around with it to set it up but then wrapped it up as its a present.

Yes it is and that's what impressed me greatly. The 8" IPS LCD was very nice and I'd go back to the Linx 8 in a heartbeat. The Connect 7 is an unknown however. Can anyone else comment on its 'build' and screen quality?

I looked at the pictures on the website.

Overlapping plastic and it indents around the edge of the whole tablet. So in my opintion the Linx tablets are a much better quality.

The spec is identical. The placing of every button and port, microphone and cameras is identical. The physical dimensions are identical. Conclusion - they're the same device coming from the same factory with some slight differences in styling around the edges.

Having said that, the upshot is the same - buy the Linx.

The Linx 8 has a lovely clear IPS screen. I havnt read anything suggesting the Connect 7 has this. I'll probably hold out for the Linx 8 again but its a shame theyre £100. The connect 7 is cheaper and I think you can use club card boost against it.

Almost. This has a different button style, different speakers and the ports look bigger (full sized memory card?). So it's similar, but it is a different device.

@FrugalFergal
You can get the Linx 8 for £69. If you've already got a Very account then just be sure to put it under a different family members name.

I have one of these connect tablets, it's mint! Use an app to download music, stick on iTunes and upload to iTunes Match, easy simple and don't need to lug a big laptop around with me haha

I can only assure you again that apart from styling, they are identical. I have a Linx 7 sitting in front of me. The ports are the same size. For reference, look at the headphone socket, which is a standard size. A full size SD card slot is much bigger.
