$715 is more like £362 at current exchange rates

C'mon Twinkie, the exchange rate would need to be £1 = $2.38 for your £300 to be correct.
Voted cold for a grossly inaccurate post.
LOL

I'll update the amount in the OP.

Type in ZB5HBFJEBT in the promo code bit for 5% off continental flights - not sure if will work with this 'cheap' offer but worked for me on a flight from Brum to NY for 22nd-30th may.

Worth posting as a voucher if you don't mind please?

sorry - just deleted the post as it says:

! Only customers with a billing address in the United States are eligible to redeem promotional offers on continental.com. Please remove the offer code below to proceed with this reservation

when i tried it on this flight.

it seemed to work on the flight i put in for myself in may but then my mate ended up paying for the tickets - i'd best go check what he paid in the end.

Not that cheap. I got BA for £249. BA gives you AVOD, FREE alcoholics drinks and the staff haven't all been sent to rude school! You can get Kuwait airways for £199 at the moment.
Voted cold.

I agree with the last post...just flew with continental to Newark a week ago..they use 757 planes which are tiny...like I'm 5-9 and I was pinned into the seat...the service is woeful only surpassed by AA and United and US airways...I fly there allot an have used them all...avoid the rude American carriers...they really get off on having an attitude problem...get this two years ago I was sitting beside a group of Buddhist monks on their way back from a conference in upstate NY...cant remember exactly the detail but they managed to get into a stand up row with the monks...can you imagine...... these guys were seriously timid and practice restraint as a virtue!....It was to do with the food...as usual they got it wrong gave him meat or something and when he explained he got the usual snotty inconvenienced response....but he wasn't having it as the was a religious thing....really quite funny.......also I like newark airport but it costs to get into the city...and in my opinion the so called skytrain is a joke you need to cahnage at least two times to get into manhattan...then when you get to penn..its so pokey on the escalators its really hard to manuvre..also the americans will just buff past you ...then if you get a cab back out there an automatic 15 dollar charge by law ...just in case the cabby doesn't get a fare back to ny...so your looking at $70 inc tip out and about 80-85inc tip back to Newark….but once you get to ny its great..:p

Can't say it's ever cost me much different to taxi it from JFK or Newark to be honest. Think I prefer Newark though.

Wholeheartedly agree about Continental staff. Awful. I'd say out of all the times I've flown, you might get one member of cabin crew that treats you decently. The rest look at you like sh1t.

Flew with Zoom to NYC a few months back as got a good deal and they were pretty good. Quite a young crew but polite on the whole.
