£5 is an excellent price for a well-respected tyre. They are in stock in Huntingdon & Newmarket.

However, the 10% discount isn't valid as they are out of stock for online delivery, and the voucher T&Cs say:

"This promotion is only redeemable for home delivery online orders, and is therefore not valid for any Reserve and Collect orders"

Ignore the question....

It's a 700c tyre, not 26" which I need!

No stock for a Falkirk, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Perth postcode.

I usually put as many postcodes in as I can remember for different areas and got some in stock when I tried the DVLA's. None in Swansea, but there is stock in Neath if it's any use to anyone down that way.

Shame.. looks a bargain. The Q+A says that they are unavailable to the depot, so that's why they're store only.

Fantastic!

It's all coming together for me today. I've got to travel to Norwich for work from Bournemouth. I was planning to stop at Pauls Cycles in Dereham and look at/buy a Giant FCR1 (good bike, poor tyres)

I get up early (thanks to day light wastings) and there's a deal for good tyres en-route.

Great stuff.

They are in stock in rutherglen glasgow, I just put in my east kilbride post code and it says avaliable for rutherglen.

Might be worth another try if you are going for this tyre:thumbsup:

I have just reserved a pair if any body needs them, give me a shout if anyone wants the reservation number.

Ah, cheers for that :)

I had 4 in the basket - 2 for myself and 2 for a friend who's looking for some rubber. Seems that was the problem. Searching for 1 brought up stock in Rutherglen, Clydebank, Paisley and Braehead. Searching for 2 showed them all as out of stock. It looks like Rutherglen has 3 of them, including the ones you've reserved.

Perth, Edinburgh and Falkirk postcodes still showing 0 stock when 1 tyre added to basket.

I don't need any as my bike is a 26 x 1.75 hybrid.

I just thought that I would reserve them so someone on here could get a bargain.

They are yours if you want.

It's a bit far out of my way, to be honest. After petrol (or a lot of pasta, lucozade and chafing) and time it wouldn't be worth it.

Thanks, though :)

Very good tyres (even at RRP), brilliant puncture protection without feeling slow and unresponsive (like some similar tyres).

Maybe not...

If anyone wants just the one, there's stock showing at lakeside (showing as OOS if you add 2 to your basket...)

Thanks for everybodies comments....

Can anyone recommend a good road tyre for a 26" wheel. I have just bought a Kona bike off ebay and will be using it to ride to work but the guy told me to throw the current tyres away because road tyres will be much faster and better.

Is there much of a difference?

Yes, a fair bit of difference.

This is worth a look, for comedy value alone. If you gain any useful insight from it then even better.

edit - forgot to add - Schwalbe Marathon are good. Schwalbe Big Apple - s look pretty nice, but haven't used them.

I bought a boardman mountain bike a month or so ago and use it for trail riding the odd weekend (with the nobblys supplied) and to commute to work through the week.

I have just fitted a pair of these 26x1.3's

They are seriously quick. Couldnt believe the difference. Quite pricey though (but it was a one off purchase through cycle to work so I didnt mind)

No problem phonetic, I just presumed you lived near Glasgow when you mention it in your search.

When I got my ridgeback nemesis it came with conti contact sport tyres, these are extremely fast but I got a p the second time I went out on the bike and I lost confidence in them. I used them for another two weeks while I waited to get my schwalbe marathon plus's delivered.

I never got another p but the tyres did cut up pretty badly.

I have now done over 1000 miles since July with the smp's and have not had one problem.

The conti's are faster, not by a great deal but they are faster but for me the p protection clinches the deal as I commute at 05:30 in the morning and the last thing I want to be doing is fixing a p at this time (or any other time:-D)

Here is a link to get these tyres for £19 each

The best money that you will spend:thumbsup:
