If you are looking for a motorcycle helmet camera with a slim profile and a price around £100 the only decent choices are Drift stealth2, Sena prism tube, Contour Roam 3. But all of it have the same problem can not be charged without to remove the back cover so without to loose the weather proof.
I think for this price range Contour +2 is the right choice for a camera to use it when you ride a motorcycle without to have attached a goofy rectangular brick to your helmet (yeah I'm talking about you gopro). It has gps tagging, Bluetooth connection for view finder and settings, laser levelling, rotating lens (yeah I know actually is the sensor), external microphone port (for the moto vbloggers wannabees or if you are full of having just the wind noise when you go over 20mph) , removable battery, waterproof case included in the package and of course it can be charged while you drive more than 2h. The only thing which I don't like is the fact that doesn't have loop recording.

Doesn't look like the battery is changeable. If it's usb charge a decent usb power pack will keep it charged between rides.

this one does have the removable battery, I have a contour 2 which doesn't as its is waterproof without a case.

i went for the tomtom bandit from amazon warehouse, paid £118 and it surprisingly arrived new unused although advertised as used. This was my 2nd choice purely because of its price. Wonder if this is worth getting as a back-up placing on handlebars at this price gotta be worth it? thoughts?

If you are OK with the size of tomtom bandit I don't think it worth, considering that contour +2 is 4 years old camera. If you want a 2nd handlebar camera maybe you should have a look to a chinese one with digital image stabilisation to cope with vibrations. For the same money you can buy sjcam m20 or gitup git 2. I tried my drift stealth 2 on different places on my motorcycle but I couldn't get rid of the vibrations.

my mate has a gopro 3 and I prefer the video on the contour, plus you don't look like a teletubbie with the contour, fits lovely on the side of helmet/bike, the GPS on this model is great, mate took it to the TT last year and got some great footage

I bought this when it was new 4 years ago, brilliant camera. Contour are much better than GoPro's, don't know why they aren't more popular.

Still seems a lot of money for what is basically a 4 year old camera. I am no expert on this but I have seen youtube videos showing much cheaper cameras for cars and bikes for sale on ebay.

They often have some kind of image stabilisation also which, I imagine, is vital for sticking on the handlebars of a bike.

This looks to be very well built. Proper waterproofing does not come cheap.

Why not just get the roam 3? It's waterproof and cheaper. Ok it doesn't have gps but I have no need for that. The only downside to the contour range is the mounts are ridiculously expensive for what they are.

its a decent camera for the price. I have a Drift Stealth2 which is very compact but major problems with it freezing. The best one i currently use is a Svc Tcl 200 about £40 as good as any of the others if not better

had the original version of this. it was brilliant. way better than gopro at the time. battery can't be replaced tho but the battery did used to last quite a while due to it has no screens and no other gimmicks to run.

Sony, if you want decent IS. Still rare my AS30V highly.
