The Mrs wanted a windows phone so after researching on here and finding a best price of £335 for the range topping 930 I started looking for codes. If you use the SPEND350 code at rakutan you get £50 off. You will need to top it up to £350 (I got a case for it for £25) but it works out by far the cheapest deal for this phone.

The phone will certainly not be for everyone but seems the best price out there at the moment.

UPDATE: Heres the link for the wireless charger and speaker that you can claim FREE when you buy this phone https://lumia930offer.co.uk/.

Tempting, been thinking about ditching my iPhone. Thanks for posting. Voted hot.

Hmm I like the look of this phone too. Currently have 10 days left to return my 128gb 6 plus which is seriously overpriced. Not sure I can live with 32gb though, sd slot and I'd be all over it.

Thanks op, heeeeeeat!

An absolutely brilliant phone at a great price. The camera, Cortana and maps are up there with the best. I'm not sure what the 'not be for everyone' comment means but it's certainly better than the fruity phone everyone in the herd has.
Also, go here if you do buy one and claim your free wireless kit

'not for everyone' was an attempt to appease nobbers with superior devices whatever they may be....

Got one and its excellent. I have had iPhones before for over 5 years and this is every bit as good with some nice apps you don't get with Apple. The My Commute app is just so handy for avoiding traffic every day, and then Lumia Beamer lets you screen share with any smart TV or PC, the camera knocks the socks off even the latest iPhones. Only downside is the app store still has some limitations with missing apps you find on Apple and Android but the difference is getting smaller.

Not really, windows is a far more stable and secure os than Android, runs far smoother and more user friendly, more of a competitor for iphone really, like iPhones but much cheaper and good build quality with a good range of handsets to suit both low budget and high end. Not many android devices perform as well as low spec'd Lumia 530. Yeah apps lack a little but theirs a lumia for everyone.

there is free wireless charging and speaker being given away at the moment...but not sure if these retailers on the list as I cant find it

I just bought a boxed Lumia 930 as a present for £230 from Cashconvertor (locked though). Probably would have went for this

Love my 920 and this has slightly bigger and much better screen and much better camera and has all the apps you actually use (as opposed to just install and update)

Not an exact link but close enough:

You really need to try Windows phone. I did for 7 months this year. It was he'll. The OS is as laggy as crap. Tap on an app and it takes ages to open. There no apps in the store at all. Not one. And you have to have a Nokia so you look like a dad who knows nothing about technology. WP is also seriously ugly with huge amounts of wasted space. Honestly you should try it before coming out with opinions like that, no one who tries it sticks with it.

Shame this thread is being hijacked by the operating system. The phone is fine and the lack of available apps stops the battery running down every 8 hours. Good deal that.

Mrs loves her work one and this is supposed to be better so I guess it's down to choice - what model are you referring to? I do hear the app store isn't as good as android / iphone but surely it cant be that bad!

So it's actually £300 and you get a cover or something else to add up to £350 to get the discount.
Still hot as it's a great phone makes iPhones look seriously expensive which they are.!

The only problem is getting a decent case for a 930 . Anyone have a recommendation?

I'm a current windows phone user, have been for last few years, currently typing this on my Lumia 925, my kids have a Lumia 630 and before that they had Lumia 520, no complaints from them and they are almost as responsive as my 925. Admittedly apps can take a little longer to load but then they only have 512mb ram, compare to an equivalent spec'd Android and the Lumia wins hands down. I've had S4 which was a good mobile but much prefer the 925. Windows phone keeps getting better, along with app availability, ok some will be lost without some of the apps but overall imo Windows phones offer a better experience. To add thanks op I've purchased it, a good deal and nice upgrade.

Honestly, you should get a clue before coming up with statements like that. I'll give you a pass on the grammar but a couple of tips for future reference;

Lag generally refers to responsiveness (how long it takes to register an input), not app loading times. They're completely different beasts and WP has actually always excelled in responsiveness although I can imagine some apps taking a while loading if you had a 520 or similar budget hardware.

No apps in the store? Depends what you're looking for I guess but I didn't lose anything moving across from Android, admittedly I don't spend my life sharing pictures of myself on Tinder/Snapchat.

Ugly with wasted space? Guess you're an Android person as iOS has always featured wasting screen real estate? You shouldn't be surprised though that both have actually followed WP over the past few years in their design guidelines by becoming flatter etc, it is a bit modern though for sure.

Also, since when were Lumias for dads? Ok, they have superior camera tech and you can use them wearing gloves etc but I always thought they were a bit brightly coloured and non mainstream for that. Every bloke I know who knows nothing about tech has an iPhone...

Yep I agree almost everyone I know who has an iPhone is techno clueless .

Windows phone is simpler than android and just works fast and sync with Hotmail and One Drive is excellent.

And the free Sat Nav turn by trun guidance out of the box makes and in car navigation look pathetic.

Wireless charging is a nice have .

Oh and the screen is amazing.

Camera is okish iP6 possibly gives better point and shoot results.

At under £300 it's very good value at £250 it would be the bargain of the year.

Can't see anywhere to put discount code on guest checkout. Do you need to register to apply code.

Expansys quite often sell euro sourced phones, if so the free dock and speaker offer will not be valid.
#22
Ordered yesterday due delivery today, great service.
#23
Right good news, the 930 comes with a wireless charging plate.!!!!. On box it says "Nokia Lumia 930 + Wireless Charging Plate DT-601".

It is a Uk spec model and I have successfully applied for the free offer of wireless charger +speaker :-).

The problem with nokia is they keep stock levels low and products run out like the 1520 and soon the 930 so if you get one and need to replace it you can't !
Apple do one thing well and that's stock their product in high quantities.
I really don't understand the nokia business model it appears to be highly flawed where supply is concerned you can't buy the high end products ... plenty of cheap product available though!

Supply and demand, Apple run out of iphone's consistently when the sheep flock, Also Apple expect millions and millions to sell so manufacture millions, Nokia sell less and would be silly manufacture on as such a large scale as Apple, The cheap Lumia models are doing well hence plenty of supply.
#26
I guess.
But it's still possible to buy a new iphone 4s for £199 a phone launched in 2011.
But impossible to buy a Lumia 1520 launched in 2014 .

Nokia have had a ridiculous business model my guess is Microsoft won't be any better.

Apples online store and high-street stores have constant availability.

If it's not available how on earth did Nokia expect to sell ?????

Useless..
I like my lumia phone but get annoyed at the lack of available high end phones .

I agree it's frustrating, Apple can afford to manufacture excessive amounts, Nokia/Microsoft can't, If they made too many they would have to decrease the price quite substantially to sell making their budget and midrange devices pointless.

The good thing is Nokia/Microsoft do have flexible pricing to compete in the market, Apple stick with a set price and stick with it until new devices are released. Ok you can sometimes get discounts via other outlets but very rare and lucky to get 20% off and even then they're still over priced.

Truth be told Lumia's offer much better value for money and build quality is very good, Very rarely would you crack a Lumia's screen yet plenty of iphones seem to crack very easily.
#28
Can you get this deal in orange? I cant see it at the same price.
#29
Deal is over all sold out or they decided to end it and put the price up to £399 because they're available at £399. S£isters.

Yep - sold out. Expires the deal. I got mine the next day too with the charging plate - I haven't checked the bill to see if the money came out though! That would be a brucy bonus!!
