Does anyone get the free, used coffee from Starbucks?

bought one of these a couple of weeks back, not bad for the price, paid £7.49 for it though.
One little thing I dont like is you really have to yank the coffee / filter compartment out,
but the catch should wear down a bit after some use.

I'm puzzled - Do you mean for composting or reuse in this filter machine?
#7
I thought you couldn't easily compost 'cooked' matter? (as in you shouldn't put cooked veg etc on the compost heap)

We had one of these, problem is that it does not make hot coffee. Just luke warm stuff

It adds to the compost quality whilst also keeping unwanted pests like ants away. I never knew you could get used coffee from Starbucks.

It sounds disgusting if you are going to re-use it in this machine but it is cheap I suppose and quality does not always matter

Gets some bad reviews on the site. Worth a couple of pounds extra to get something decent. Or else, use a mocha pot or french press (both pretty cheap and good in themselves.)

not sure about this model but my dad bought a cookworks one when it was going cheap and the plastic tube that delivered the hot water went up the middle of the cold water reservoir! very stupid design so dont expect much if you buy this!

Got one of these (posted on here) a few months back.

Does the job for a fiver, doesnt make terribly hot coffee but I usually put hot water into it (from the tap/boiler) and jobs a good'un.

Cant go wrong for a fiver.

Wanted a cheap little coffee maker, opted for this one.

It was indeed cheap and little and really quite awful. Took it back the same day.

Yeah, had one for a while. As said, it just does not make hot coffee and the spout on the jug is terrible - coffee everywhere. But, for a fiver, it's ok

Pretty sure most will do something similar, you shouldn't pour boiling hot water on fresh coffee as it burns it and ruins the flavor. With most these coffee filters you need to leave the coffee on the hot plate for a little bit once its brewed to heat it up a bit. Thats what I do with mine :]
