If it was previously posted I missed it, so HOT from me as I was going to get one for work as the toaster packed in just before Christmas... Bargain!

Hot. We bought one of the cookworks kettles for £3 in Jan 2009 and it's still going strong. Good to have in as a spare even!

That's a wedding present for my sister sorted.

I bought one of these shortly after it was originally posted and it's very good, especially for the money.

The only comment I would make is that crumbs can get caught around the top and the only way of successfully clearing them is to turn the toaster upside down, ensuring that before hand you have emptied the crumb tray in the bottom first, of course!

Does this toaster actually fit a whole slice of bread in it? I know a lot of cheap ones you have to turn the bread around halfway....

My toaster is goosed and I'm currently looking for a new one.

If you insert the slice widthwise (as shown in the picture) you'll have to turn it around. I toast my bread lengthwise and I haven't as yet bought an 800g loaf and found the slice not fit although on some occasions I've had to use the lift facility on the end to get the slice out.

Hope this helps

The Asda own brand is notorious for this – width wise or length wise you still have to turn it over. Keep away from Asda toasters…
