i bought the other black one which was priced at 37.99, none of my plates would fit it that, i went to return it today, only to find 2 in display in my argos. and for 33.00 i got it covered for 3 years. this one definately much better and cheaper then the other cookwork microwave...

Not voted, but my experience with cookworks is not very good. Bought some food processor and a coffee maker from them; both were absolute rubbish. Food processor gave up when I put carrots in it (motor burned out) and the coffee thingy never lived up to expectation. I am staying a mile away from everything branded 'Cookworks'.

Slavery has been abolished. Any colour will do these days so long as you pay at least minimum wage. :whistling:

Easytronicis terrible. We bought one for home and we have one at work and both have stoped functioning properly. Would go for touch control anytime. The easytronic stops turning and you can't set the time and typical after guarantee runs out.:whistling:

I've lived without a microwave for nearly 3 years. Inspire me to buy one with possible microwave treats :)

LMAO!!
Funniest thing I've read on here in ages.
A good point was made, though. I was looking for a black microwave last month and they are always more expensive than other colours. That makes this deal even hotter.

Looks great. Picked up today and setup in the office. Blue backlit display. Simply to use. Very nicely packed. It reckons on the box its Cookworks SIGNATURE...dont know what that means exactly but feels very heavy and not cheap at all.
#25
not being funny but...if a £28 microwave lasts me 12 months i still think its money well spent.
if i buy one every year at this price £84 of microwaves will have lasted me 3 years!
You get what you pay for an right now... im happy to pay £24 for any white goods (or black) that lasts at least 12 months!

On the Argos website you often see items advertised at half price and in the small print there is often a bit about the item being offered at a certain price before which is close to the "half price" price on offer.

So are these deals really half price ?????

The usual price for these microwaves will have been 35-45. At this price they would have sold steadily. They get a huge abundance of stock in the warehouses. So for 28 days (legal min) they actually PUT THE PRICE UP! to £57.50. Why you ask? Because then by law they can offer them at "HALF PRICE".

Now, nobody in their right mind will have bought one at £57.50. So in reality its not half price. But if you take the price of a black microwave ...£28.75 is pretty great. Spesh as its guaranteed for 12 months. £2 a month really. They offer for a fiver to cover for 3 years but I didnt bother.

Yes it's still a good deal and although I don't buy warranties normally their warranties don't seem too excessive in price.
