A which Best Buy (score of 77%) espresso coffee machine for what seems a great price from Argos! Perfect for anyone wanting a reasonably priced coffee machine...

This product does not take coffee pods, but I personally find ground coffee packets much more reasonable anyway!

Hope this helps someone :)

you'll probably be able to get a pod adaptor from
I see that this one is also reduced: - do you know if that one was reviewed as well?
The other one (above) seems to represent a better saving, and has better reviews on the argos site at least.

Not reviewed by Which as far as I can see from their site.
I also read the Which review on the cheaper model but compared the specs and it seemed to be identical to the one that is reduced to £31.99, so got that one for Christmas.

Never had a coffee machine before so got nothing to compare it to but I'm happy with it.
Have the older model of this and was brilliant only just broken after being used twice a day for about 2 or 3 years. I Bought this afew weeks ago after reading a which review that said it was a really good buy for the money, so i bought it and was really disappointed with it. The machine has a very shallow coffee handle, and the other big disappointment was the drinks tasting of plastic. I ran it in properly by letting water go through it afew times and made afew cappucinos and each time they tasted very strongly of plastic. So thought stuff this and won a Gaggia X2 on ebay been wanting on of these for ages.
So the old cookworks machine good this one a waste of money in my opinion, but if you like the taste of plastic then go for it
also doubles as a dalek

i got this one as a christmas pressie (also have a Tassimo) and its a decent machine as long as you do one of 2 things.

1. buy the right grind of coffee if not you will get a weak tasting coffee with water logged grounds and a lot of mess.

2. make sure you pre heat the machine and run a shot of water through it to warm the porta filter and coffee basket/filter or you get cold coffee.

another annoying thing is that you dont get a single espresso filter basket you only get a 2 cup and a pod filter basket with this machine. its only a small issue as i drink double espresso`s and others in the house drink cappucinos but a few of my friends only drink single espresso`s and as such you need to make 2 at a time or use the 2 cup filter to make 1 shot and this can lead to water left in the top of the filter above the coffee grounds and this causes the machine to drip like mad.

overall its a good machine but it does have a few faults and will never replace my Tassimo that makes great drinks everytime but for the price i suppose you will struggle to find a better espresso shot machine.
