Reserved one at local store, thanks. been after one for a while but was looking at the more expensive ones as thought the cheaper ones would not last......looking at the reviews it seems a good buy, heat added :)

Is this battery powered?

Can you pour it from the jug or just the tap?

difficult to accept the Argos marketing hype suggesting less half price.
this item was priced at £19.99 in mid-Jan 2010, and previously at a lower £14.99( ! ).

Don't mean to be a killjoy but i would try to avoid these 'tap' smoothie makers, they invariably get clogged up with fruit pieces no matter how long you blend the fruit, and as such are a lot harder to clean.

Also just checked and Tesco do 500w ones for £15-20 as well... so not that great a bargain and I nearly bought one when I was out earlier.....still might as also have room in a cupboard that I am not using and need somthing to collect the dust and stop it gathering on the shelf itself!

I have a kenwood tab smoothie maker, and i have never had a problem with it clogging up. maybe this is due to the fact that my smoothies are a lot runnier (i use a yogurt & milk base).

I have this exact model, the tap is *crap* for thick smoothies, you end up just getting the fruit juice or water thats gone to the bottom. The actual blender feels pretty cheap quality and the jug is quite large for one smoothie. I got it when it was around £14 from Argos about 3 months ago, I don't think it is worth £30 or has ever sold at that price.

Good though if like me you only make smoothies once in a blue moon.
