I have the fryer, it's easy to clean and cooks everything you can throw in it. Chips and chicken drumsticks can be fried to perfection. I had a more expensive make before this one and it was a real pain to clean. This Cooksworks one is now at a great price, I think I paid around the £30 mark from Argos a few months ago. The lid is just for cosmetic storage as you cannot use it whilst frying and theres a neat cable storage cubby hole at the rear of the fryer, heat added....pardon the pun!

Deep fat fryers are extremely healthy, based on the fact that chip pan fires are one of the most frequent causes of serious burn injuries in the home. I got one as soon as I realised that the wife would always try to pick up a burning pan and move it off the cooker, no matter what I said. We have burn marks on tables, counter tops and even a doormat. If you can't change the behaviour, eliminate the cause.

A twin one might be overdoing it, though.

I have used this slow cooker before and it does the job quite nicely, especially when I'm at work and I put a joint of ham and veg in and they're done to perfection for when I come in!

Thanks for the post, my husband loves this website and visits almost everyday; he's away on holiday so thought I would check to see if there were any bargains not to be missed- really glad I looked, just purchased the slow cooker. Thought of purchasing this awhile back but didn't think I'd get use out of it, feel reassured after having read so many positive comments on ebay/argos website and at this price you can't go wrong. Will cook him a nice leg of lamb when he comes home!!!

Whatever :-/

Nothing wrong with the occasional fried bit of food provided you exercise and have a healthy rounded diet.
Moderation is the key here.

Yes, tougher cuts of meat cooked in the slow cooker for several hours come out very nice ad tender. Meat that was cooked on the bone literally falls off it. Every kitchen should have one.

I am recommending this quote to be used in Arnnies next movie ........if he's not to old and fat what with all the deep frying damage he could do with this deal

can you deep fry a Whole Chicken......oO

not such a strange idea...I don't normally like fried foods such as chips etc, but I recently deep fried a poisson, and it was so moist and succent that I thought perhaps I could try a whole chicken - not just for me, but the whole family - as an alternative to oven cooking

I am just LOLing at the idea of just me tucking into a whole deep fried chicken and a bucket of chips
