The fans are all rated 17 and 19 dba - so it'll be whisper quiet. Depending on what kind of power supply you stick in it of course..

There's something a bit chavvy about this I am afraid...

Somewhat akin to having a whalefin on the back of you car and justifying it by saying that improves road handling.

Could be worse though... could look like this instead...

There's something a bit 'pathetic' about that statement I am afraid...

People that use the word 'chav' all the time are pathetic and it says more about THEM then the people they are trying to stereotype imo.

Get over yourself, it's a great case and cooler at a great price!
If the only reason you won't buy it is because you think it will make you appear as a person that only idiots like YOU are prejudice about then more fool you!!

Despite what you are saying, this case is very quiet and as its name suggests it is a High Air Flow case. The performance of this case is very impressive. My PC temperatures were significantly reduced by simply chaing to this case. The red light on the case fan can be switched off using the switch at the top of the case. I disagree that the case is chavvy but maybe if you could see it in the flesh you might change your mind.

Great case for the price, Wish I Just hadn't brought a canon dSLR the other day, as I have no funds left for the month.

Maybe he was contemplating wearing it as a street medallion of sorts? Hmmm there's an idea...

Looks chavvy to me as well. Wouldn't choose this for my house. Much happier with a sleek simple black brushed aluminium case myself.

Can hardly say the comment was pathetic, they were forming an opinion that I happen to agree with. I'd say it's not about prejudice, more about taste...

Built a rig for a friend in this case. Was a dream to work with due to the cable management holes dotted all over the motherboard tray. Airflow is very high also in this case, noise was not an issue whatsoever. The only gripe is that this thing is pretty massive, but most of these high performance cases are ;-)

The only other issue we had was finding cathodes/lighting that matched the original fan. Red cathodes appear pink, we had to use LED lighting. He had a pink lit case for a while though, was pretty funny

I agree, this is one of those cases you either love or hate, I prefer brushed aluminium but he wanted something with a window heh
#14
Absolutely top notch case, one of the best air cooling cases available. A damn shame it's fugly! But looks are each to their own.

Personally prefer the looks of the Coolermaster 690 II.

Taken the plunge and bought one... anyone want to buy a mark I CM Stacker? :whistling:

Gamer cases do tend to be a bit blingy. Those looking for a more modest look should check out P183 or Lian Li PC B25F

yep, definately. Reminds me of a conversation I overheard the other day between to jakies "aye ma[o]n gonna go pick up me bru so i can overclock my 920 to 4ghz but without the front serial bus, I'm not sure were to start, even if it is based on a Nehalem microarchitecture, kno wha a mean, do ye?"

yep, sounds like typically everyday chav talk

I bought an additional 140mm fan for the bottom of the case and a 200mm for the side panel (which werent included). This cost about 20 quid delivered off an ebay seller for the same Coolermaster fans that are in the case already. The 140mm one on the bottom is pretty pointless as there is not much distance between the underneath of the case and the floor.

I know where he is coming from. A lot of gamer cases are more style over substance and are owed by the computer versions of people who drive Saxo's with over the top sound systems paint cans on the exhaust.

Seems like this case has real substance and purpose. I've seen well worse than this; think it is quite sleek looking all-in-all... Looks like it was made by the Borg!

Wrong, this case is chavvy, the PC equivalent of a Nova with a chavtastic body kit.

You obviously have no idea about PCs so i wont waste my time with an explanation.

If you want to see cheap tat go to ebuyer and look at some of the £20-30 cases there. Another prime example of a faceless internet person brandishing the chav logo around liberally and nine times out of ten without wanting to stereotype myself you go into their history and they have shown interest in more than a few "chav asscoiated items" in the past.

previous post about a rapidshare acc from the guy calling people a chav:

They have a limit of 2.66gb a day now (80gb a month) and now that you can get 1080p movies all over the place, I'd love an extra account

Looks like he prefers to steal films rather than buy them...

I love the people who are attacking others who have negative opinions of this case. I know of the coolermaster brand. Which in my opinion as far as style goes, went downhill since the Wavemaster black (which I believe the designers went on to work for Silverstone afterwards). To break this down to me as I see it as chavvy is as follows:

"blinging lights" - Explains it all really
"graphics" - similar to those chavvy cars
"random indentations and "style" features" - Useless, kind of like a chavvy bodykit and just adds too much to the design and looks messy with no real purpose
"plasticy appearance"

Not denying the build quality mind or the "value." Although I can't vouch for it due to not owning a Coolermaster since the wavemaster (which is well built).

Currently using an Akasa Omega case with noctua cpu cooler for my main for those who care.

I still have that exact case, using it for a secondary rig. Don't your DARE get rid of it

The only problem I have had with it is that it silently and relentlessly blew cold air over my legs, all winter.

It'll make a great leg cooler for the summer though.

I'm perfectly happy with it, though it does look a bit odd. Sort of military. You could use it to frighten smaller cases. Mine's hidden away, so it doesn't matter.

A very minor gripe is only 2 USB sockets at the front, though there are around a million at the back.
cheers

please remember that not everyone will have lots of usb ports at the back ;)

all depends on the motherboard.

Is that the one with the huge fan on the side?, if so i have read conflicting reviews on its efficiency.

An antec 300 is a good choice if you have a budget for a case.

i cannot comment on the windtunnel as i have not owned one.

but i own the non window version of this case and what a case.

excellent airflow helped get my cpu down from 30c (idle) to 25c idle
dropped my gfx by about 4c
love the click and install drives
harddrive caddys make it easy to install and uninstall hdd's

as stated in previous post - button to turn off and on red led on the front fan

i would easy give this case 10/10

And the coolermaster TX3 cpu cooler that it comes with is decent? My current intel stock fan has my Q6600 on 40-47C idle, just wondering if the TX3 would do a good job, cause I don't wanna end up buying this case and a Zalman 9700 cpu cooler ontop of it.

Plus the case doesn't come with a side 200mm fan, is that a big downfall?

I think you may be mistaking this for the HAF 932.

The 922 is only mid-tower size, while the 932 is full-tower - see this review.
#34
@crossbow

he may have the 922 as it is huge and can take a watercooling system without any problem :)

@fatony

i didnt get that cooler with my case as it isnt bundled with the non window version i have got an Coolermaster v8 installed.

cpu sits around = 22c idle (Amd athlon x4 630 2.8ghz) and load it go's to 35c

and i do not have the side fan on my case and it is fine. i did have a fan on the side when i took the pics of mine but wasnt plugged in or anything :P

don't know if the window version has place for side fan if it does then it will be 80mm or 120mm
#35
Beautiful Case
#36
functionally it's probably a great case, but visually I find it pug ugly.
#37
imo i would call it a MW2 Case which makes it beast
