Good price!

They have the 700W version for £6 more for those of you with really big rigs.

Looks very good for the money but why do they have to use the word silent in the product name as it patently isn’t! If you want silence buy a Seasonic X Series fanless; a lot more money and less wattage but Gold in both senses. (Silence is golden :))

XFX 650 modular is around the same price on TDO so I know which I would go for and the Antec true power is usually on offer for around this price or less and both are 50watts more and have good reputations.

Personally everything I have ever bought made by Coolermaster has been rubbish. I bought there limited edition Nvidia stacker case which was just under £200 and I still have it to this day as its limited edition and from day one it has rattled. It was also the first case to be awarded SLI status meaning it had excellent cooling potential, which is rubbish its hotter than my daughters £50 case. So then I decked it out with all Coolermaster green fans and that came to around £60 as this case holds a lot of fans, it barely made it cooler but what it did do was make it sound like a jump jet at take off even one fan on its own was very loud, thats enough of my rant but you get the point.

Wouldn't Corsair Enthusiast TX V2 CMPSU-650TXV2UK 650W Power Supply be better?

Branded, £65.99 and warranty duration 60 months and extra 50w

It’s not modular or Gold certified so not a direct comparison.
I’d hate to go back to a non modular PSU.

Not modular, not 80plus gold, warranty period is the same as CM.

polly69 - i have to agree CoolerMaster fans are awful lol. Personally I just do a 7v fan mod on any cheap fans.

i'm hoping this psu stands up to its rep. Has rave reviews on newegg

Oops looking at the wrong one!! I was looking at shown and few other and this. This one is the modular one. Though cost more but warranty 84 months? what the heck?

Say what the difference with gold or bronze certified one?

seems like a decent psu with good reviews but scan have recently had a few better offers imo;

650w HX series modular is indeed a heavy psu - i dont argue against that!

The irony is that Corsair don’t even make their own power supplies but buy in designs from ODMs and BRAND them as Corsair. Nothing wrong with that as most P/Ss come that way but you need to look carefully at which ODM is behind a particular model range. So don’t be fooled by the label but look beyond it.

It gets great reviews but it's only a few pounds less than it normally sells for and the often have the HZXT Hale90 at at around that kind of price which I would take every time.

I wouldn't say I would pay extra for modular as it doesn't bother me that much and don't have a windowed case so not an issue for me.

This PSU gets really good reviews in terms of efficiency and noise. It has a 5 year warranty so piece of mind...dunno what people are complaining about?! Probably better Corsair mentioned based on the reviews I've read, certainly more efficient.

'people' always have something to complain about!

Today Only been updated and the same PSU is cheaper than yesterday at £63.59 !
