SPECIAL PROMOTION but LIMITED TO ONE PER CUSTOMER

Even with delivery it's still much cheaper than anywhere else (next best is £115.51 @ SpecialTech). Ridiculous price for a Seasonic OEM 850w fully modular & gold PSU...

Cooler Master developed the V-series to re-ascertain its position as a leading power supply brand. It’s based on a powerful single rail platform with outstanding voltage stability, ripple suppression and efficiency.

Thanks to a 135mm high quality FDB fan and a fine-tuned fan profile, V-series PSUs are extremely quiet, even under full load. And our brand new all black, extra slim flat-ribbon cables make cable management a breeze, enabling nice and clean builds with the best possible airflow.

• Fully modular cable design incorporates a single 850W +12V output that delivers up to 70A.
• 80 PLUS Gold certified: up to 93% efficiency @ 50% load
• Silent 135 mm FDB fan for lower noise and longer lifespan
• Six PCI-E 6+2 pin connectors to support high-end GPUs
• 100% high quality Japanese capacitor ensures performance and reliability.
• Reliable 5 year warranty

Good price for an 850w. Nice purchase for SLI or Crossfire. Heat
#5
Solid PSU well worth the money.
#6
Cool stuff. 9.7 from johnnyguru, which is just awesome. Maybe king of psu at the price point?
#7
Almost worth getting this as a spare at this price
#8
good find op, heat added :)

£11 pounds for delivery if you don't get it for free? I know a good PSU weighs a bit but come on.
#10
Great price! Tempted to replace my five year old Corsair with this, if only for better efficiency and some headroom for sli 970 at some point!

I agree £11 is a bit much for a PSU, but it's still quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else. After this promo price I assume the PSU will go up to around £110 + del.

Also Scan only do next day delivery and use DPD who are leagues above any other UK courier!

I'm not looking to buy one as I've replaced mine not long ago but it's good to see that it's cheap at the moment. I agree with you on DPD; I had a monitor delivered by them and they were great - next day delivery and had a text sent giving me a time window when the delivery would happen.

Well i wasn't planning on replacing my "Asaka Venom 750w" (that I've had for a few years) for my new build but being fully modular and smaller cables than my current will improve my cable management..
Would be rude to not order.. Thanks OP.

The most important pc part to get right, well worth the money for a quality psu, 850w is bit over the top for single cards, but since it is 93% efficiant at half load is great, as can always add another gpu later, games are becoming better at scaling 2 cards now.

This will pay for itself as the years role on :)

do add basket straight form the today only page, not from the product details page

Thanks HUKD, more money spent... for a spare :|

Can't really go wrong with this one: Seasonic based, fully modular, 5 year (!) warranty, 70A on a single 12V rail (I never liked multiple 12V rail PSUs myself), and around 80% efficient in standby / 90% under load which actually brings it into 80 Plus Platinum territory.

(well, slight lie - planning a new build soon anyway, this is a good start)

Yeah I realised this after ordering it. I thought they just bumped the price up. Still a good deal. Ordered from scan before, just never realised the todays offers were actually different to the direct links...

Can get UPS delivery to nearest store for £3.99

Come on! NOW they're doing PSU deals? I waited ages to get my mitts on an EVGA G2 750, and finally gave up on finding a deal last week, and bought it for way more than this. Bummer.

Good deal, absolute pants retailer.

Cheers. Amended the title... although it's looking a little confusing atm!

Bargain but I don't think I'm going to bite when mines running fine

I'm more concerned about noise than power. I would need 500-600w psu. How does this unit compare to the hybrid ones selling on scans today's deal page. Does this run silent under load or does it have some hybrid system that kicks in at some point?

Good deal, absolute pants retailer.

Been placing ~ 8/10 orders every year with Scan, over the last 15 years. Have only ever had one issue (my fault), and they resolved it without hassle. So whilst your experience may be different, I would certainly not consider Scan to be a 'pants' retailer.

By the way, hot from me, and I'm buying one for a spare.

The fan is on all of the time On this psu, (different speed depending on load) It is one of the quieter PSU's though.

Better off with a Corsair RM 550 which only turns the fan on when the load reaches a certain point. Cost is more like £80 but there are deals on the 650W version as well for the same price at times.

If you can get the EVGA G2 for this money it'd edge it for me.

This site really confuses me :/ I posted this exact deal a couple of weeks ago and it struggled to break 50℃. Anyhow, it's a good deal, so heat added.

You can get a leadex 650w from ocuk for similar money. The 750w one also scored 9.7 on Johnnyguru (the internal build wasn't very pleasing although the performance is top notch regardless), I would think the 650w not far off. The g2 is a leadex unit I believe. But as the price suggest, you won't get a 850w leadex for this money!

It all depends on when you get that generic "Cold, Scam" comment... if it's just after you post I find it tends to put the thread into a downward spiral as people forget about the deal and start arguing about Scan. :(

I just find it odd how these people who vote cold never explain the reason why they hate Scan. Makes me wonder if something went wrong a year+ into the warranty and they got mad because they couldn't get a full refund (FYI no retailer would which is why you go direct through the manufacturer!). Either that or they broke something while installing and expected Scan to take responsibility...
I've used them over 10 years and they've been excellent - only once in that time a next day delivery didn't turn up and that's because the item was OOS and the system hadn't updated. I've even ordered something 1 minute before the cut-off time, and 10 minutes later had a despatch text!
Returns have all been swift, RMA's received, tested and replaced in 3 days average - I even scratched the PCB on a £250 GPU and bricked it which they amazingly replaced!

The way I see it - if you know what you're doing with PC's and can save a few pounds at Scan... use them.... but If you don't then either pay a few pounds more for Scansure, or use Amazon who probably just look at returns to make sure they are still in the box and then refund...

This runs at like 18 dBA on idle - a whisper is around 20 dBa so it's extremely quiet...

Of course it is. Leadex is super flower you do know that?

"Silent 135 mm FDB fan for lower noise and longer lifespan"

They always lie and say silent when they really mean quiet.

I've used them a few times and never had a problem.

Yes. That's exactly what you use it for.
