Go to the link scroll down to I7's and look at the middle one

If you click I gives info about the mobo it's meant to be

If you click buy it adds what appears to be core I7 940 to your basket as well as mobo

Don't have the nerve to buy myself anyone else want to have go you never know they might honour it

(yeah right)

The "Buy" link appears to take you to a Mini ITX socket 775 motherboard rather than anything I7 related:-

Just bought it - of course, if they honour the order I will be amazed.
Still, this has put a little spring in my step as I trundle off to the rat race on a sunny Monday morning.
Will update if (or when) they cancel.

Maybe worth the chance if you got £100 spare at the mo, but im sure its a mistake my scan & it will be cancelled or they will send out the socket 775 board

Hiya

I think there's very little chance.

I've never bought from Scan before, but looking at the basket if you add other items:

1) The 940 doesn't have a part no. to it, and has "SO:" at the start, possibly meaning sold out? Also, there isn't a web link (which won't help the people at sales dept

2) The motherboard is under it, clearly with a link.

3) Other items have a link number, where the processor doesn't. There isn't anything to make the sales dept think you're buying the 940 processor

If you add anything from that page it comes in like that though just tried it,

STILL THIS REALLY IS MEANT AS A JOKE FAIR PLAY TO ANYBODY TRYING BUT I HOPE YOU DON'T GET LUMBERED WITH A MOBO YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T WANT

Aye, but they come through with the correct link code for sales dept. The processor's one is the motherboard. Understood if it's meant as a joke, but It's an expensive joke!
