List price is £75.06 but has free delivery (super-saver).
Use Google checkout to reduce price to £65.06, and get the final 6p off via quidco!

* Dual Core Technology
* 1.80GHz clock speed
* 2MB L2 Cache
* Intel Speedstep Technology
* EM64T 64-Bit Technology
* Cooler running technology
* Supplied with Intel heatsink & fan
OK its one of the slowest Core2Duos and has less cache that the more expensive models but is great deal for budget system builds or those who can upgrade their inefficient Celeron DPentium 4 chips! Got to hurt AMD at that price.

Have a Pentium D in a Dell 5150. Is this compatible?
I doubt it, unfortunately, as it tends to only be motherboards released since the Core 2 series that actually support it. I'm not certain however; someone with Dell experience might like to confirm this.

dimension 5150 only takes P4 (5xx and 6xx series) and inspiron 5150 only takes mobile so snookered on both counts i'm afraid.
It's also about the most overclockable processor that exists at present. There are reports on the net of it running at speeds of over 3GHz.
so wasted in a DELL cos their BIOS is designed NOT to be overclocked
Whilst this chip is a great overclocker, it is still powerful and very efficient at stock speeds for those that don't wish to or are unable to overclock. If you're lucky enough to have a motherboard to support it, it is a great upgrade from Celeron D or Pentium 4 500 or 600 series.
