Ta. Ordered - was looking at this on Corel's site yesterday - where it costs £39 - so this is a HOT deal.

Anyone know if this will run on Windows7, as there is no mention of it on Corel site.
#6
running mine on windows 7

if giving for gift i suggest checking the keys there as mine was missing :( (got it last time it was on offer) but finally got a replacement (you need to email them with pics of case cd and invoice so keep hold of it :P )

i am sure mine was a one off but worth checking

also during my emails to get my key they say it does not work on win 7 :S but it says on the back its compatible with vista so get the feeling they where trying to flog me new version lol

it only works fine on Win7 if you are the only user of your PC. if it's a family PC and multiple users then you will have a problem. I had to buy the ultimate version of this software, which I'm not happy about but had no choice...
This is the answer I got from Corel's tech support:

I understand your feedback and concerns. I would like to inform you that Corel PaintShop Pro X2 Standard Edition (version 12.00) is not compatible with Windows 7.

However, the latest Corel PaintShop Pro X2 Ultimate (version 12.50) is compatible with Windows 7.

For the detailed list of the compatible Corel products with Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system, please refer in this link:

http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Content/1254516325170

Corel has a varied range of customer segments and products and there is no single solution to how Corel will take advantage of the Windows 7 (W7) features. Some existing products will work on W7 without patch updates and others will have further development to ensure they are optimized for compatibility in W7.

Corel has recently launched the CDS 2010 family range which is already W7 Certified.

Corel will be posting additional production information in the coming weeks regarding Windows 7 compatibility. Please visit www.corel.com/windows7 regularly for updated information.

I use paint.net as its a free program. Does everything I need it to do.

If you want to download it use download.com and type in paint.net

'The Gimp' is free and apparently excellent.

Review: http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2009/11/16/Free-Image-Editors/p5

There are hundreds of free tutorials on Youtube as well.

I haven't/don't use it myself as I have Photoshop Elements but keep meaning to download it and give it a go. Cannot at the min as I'm now on Sky's 'Usage Tool' thing and I've nearly hit my usage for the month with 18 days still left to go!!!! :x Sky was great before they decided to look into how they can get everyone to pay more!!!!!!!! Wish Virgin would knock on my door and offer me a great package, I'd be off!

having had problems instore with the system & absence of staff responsible for the tesco.com side of things, it looks like there never were any, or very minimal amounts (again) ,...bit like left for dead.
(got this from the duty manager, who apparantly isn't high enough to ask questions of listed stock qty's as he's a mere manager & no-one at head office neither knew or had the info themselves.
sheep led by sheep with clag-nuts on their backsides!
looks like tesco may be pulling more fast ones with stock as enticers!

If anyone really wants this, there are about 6 copies left at Tesco New Oscott upstairs and don't seem to be flying off the shelves either as they seem to have been there a while. They come unboxed in a labelled DVD case,.

All priced at £9.97.
