I stayed in Kassiopi many years ago. At that time is was a very quiet resort with a stony shore. At night we use get a free ride on little boat to the next bay for an evening meal. I wonder if that still happens.

Been to Kassiopi several times and always go early or late in the season to avoid the hoards of summer. Lovely wee place. Michaelangelo's however is not great and 5 mins walk away from Kassiopi. Great price never the less. May in Corfu is very unpredictable weather wise but in my opinion the best time to visit. It is a very green island and the place comes alive with flowers and vegetation at this time of year.

Don't forget quidco @ 3%!

Couldn't agree more - hotel i'm going to in Cyprus is a twenties holiday but lets families stay out of season...and all the complaints are from families saying it's too close to the clubs and noise....erm yeah its a twenties hotel its gna be lol

If i werent already going cyprus in may i'd have booked this for sure - almost wish i'd waited!!

I disagree. If you only look at the bad reviews then yes you don't get a true flavour for what the place is like, but if you take a consensus then I've found it to be pretty accurate. There are a lot of americans using it, obviously they have higher standards than us brits :D

Correct! I think people are more likely to feel the need to write a review when they're unhappy about something. When people are satisfied they just go home and get on with their lives :)

There you go then. It's people paying 2 star prices expecting 5 star accomodation. You get what you pay for I'm afraid.

:-D

Actually, they do. Corfu is known as island of snakes - it sounds much worse than it is actually. But, on our last trip there we saw two (very large) snakes and I hate snakes :-(.:? You have to be careful when walking through grass.

Lovely island though. Loved everything apart from the snakes.

there are not loads and in 5 months there I only saw one fairly small one... There was a story that a child got bit in the jumbo store there though last september....:whistling:

Cheers!!!!
have booked holiday for 2 for £345 less £10 quidco cashback. Checked tripadvisor for Michaelangelo Village and just too many negs to risk it (last year I ignored the tripadvisor stuff on a hotel in Gambia. I showed the neg print outs to my travel agent Thomas Cook who said it was really nice and to ignore it as the travel rep would come with us to our room and make sure we were happy before leaving. The room was awful and the rep disappeared. I had to upgrade to another hotel £400 cash ..they wouldn't/couldn't take credit card.
So I have checked out Miros Studios and they get really good reviews for the last 4 years.
Cheers:)

tripadvisor is brilliant we use it all the time we post good and bad reviews on it usually good. if you pay low prices you cant expect the ritz!

I'm there now, and the room is fine. Paid 136pp from Manchester for 7 nights. Wish the weather would come to though. We had a hell of a storm at 6 this morning.
