I loved my corsair until it broke in my pocket! to be fair corsair replaced it 2 years later....they gave me a refurbed one which i have the dreaded unable to write to error...google it seems quite common.

Mines going in the bin would not touch corsair again.

I have one [from MyMemory, paid £1 more] and it has tested as 29.1MBps and 17.5MBps read/write speed using the h2testw program.

Decent speeds :)

I have a 2GB one of these (Don't ask me where it is) I've had since 2007. Never had a problem with it, works flawlessly!

Ordered one of these Friday night thanks to this deal, so thank you. Heat added!

Ive got 2 of these! Love them.

I actually dropped the first one 2 days after buying it, found it in the road later that day. It'd been run over at least once as the cap had popped off and the actual metal usb plug had been slightly bent.

However, I straightened it and it still works fine!

I have a corsair survivor and it has been through hell and back. Very rugged, I have not used the corsair voyager but I would wager it is tougher than most usbs.

I got this one 2 weeks ago. That's write speed is lower than they advertisement.

average read speed of 26MB per second (MBps)
average write speed of 12MBps

I believe the 8GB Voyager GT was a lot faster than this one due to a superior chip design.
#12
i dont know wether to get one of these or a transcend 600 16gb usb flash drive from the same supplier

zhedielj stating a write speed of 12MBps puts me off tremendously
#13
the write error may have just been the file system you were using (normally fat32) change this to ntfs if you want to use a file over 4GB.

how to protect your files ,data and foto.....if the USB get lost or stolen?

Encrypt the contents and set a secure passcode. There are plenty of free encryption applications out there (just google "free encryption software").

Most people have had a generic USB survive the washing machine - can't get a better test than that!

correct, the original 8GB Voyager drive was using the SLC chips whic are considerably faster than MLC chips, however they turned out too expensive and unreliable long term... i had one die within 1 month, got a replacement, that within the year was heating up during use, more than it should have, got a 16gb GT as a replacement, will be cautious next time as i paid a lot of money for that 8GB drive when it was first released, and was worth hardly anything when i had to RMA it

I was going to order this for £21.99 last month. I am glad now that I put it off.
I just got it for £18.89 with the santa10 code.
The code expires midnight tonight so don't hang around if you are interested.
