Would people recommend this over the OCZ Vertex deal?

Heat added by the way.

1 pound per GB is coming closer and closer.
Hot anyway.

Same drive size, same drive controller, same performance, same price.
To all intents and purposes the drives are identical; so it comes down to which brand you think will offer better customer service.

SOLID and SSDSAVER codes not working for me on the Deal prices?

Annoyed that I bought one yesterday from Scan for £86, but it is being delivered 1.5hrs from now!

Hot - have the OCZ version and very happy with the performance boost. Will be waiting for the 128GB drives to reach the £100-£115 mark before buying another though. 60GB is just not enough - spend time each week clearing space.

isn't there a small difference in erm firmware (cant quite remember)?
one is supposed to use stock firmware and thew other company has tuned theirs a bit
review i read said drives identical though basically apart from a tiny improvement in the tuned firmware version - corsair or ocz i cant remember

You might be right on that; Though my research didn't turn up any mention of a firmware update and/or comparing the performance difference.

Though as the codes have stopped working, it seems this deal has expired anyway.

seems ocz is the tuned one but will be basically irrelevant to most - guess should get bonus points for making an effort though :)

SSDSAVER not working for me either.

Check your orders now, ebuyer have just changed mine to the higher price! I rang up and they say they have taken the higher price from my card.

As codes are not working and price gone up, how come this is not expired yet? And same with vertex deal as well?
