I suppose if you need your stick to be shock resistant, water-proof etc. then this is great. I myself would go for this elegant device instead.

great about the other stuff, but the whole point of a flash drive apart from being fast is that its shock resistant. Still, water-proof.

I never take my pen drive swimming with me :D

Also, just out of curiosity; When most people vote either cold or hot, does it just count as one vote?

When I vote hot/cold it adds/minuses 9 points each time.

You expect daft comments by people that don't understand i bought one last week so this price is old news but very cheap cheaper than scan when on a today only. These are made by corsair possibly the best manufacturer of memory in the world they are water and shock resistant.

You don't need to go swimming to get it wet what happens if its left in a pocket and put through the wash these jump drives have a 10year warranty and corsair will exchange it if it goes wrong which i doubt it will as its built to last if you want cheap get yourself a play.com one or a sandisk this is for people who want to know there data is safe.

I can't imagine how water-proof it will be when you lose the cap and it's ugly as sin.

And of course what it looks like matters so much more than how well it works.:whistling:

But if you want the PNY Attache elegance with the Corsair speed, you'll need to pay £22 for the Premium model.

Is this thicker than most other flash drives - on a laptop pc with the USB ports close together is it more likely to block the second port than most other flash drives?

I bought this in late spring for nearly double. Although I would buy the 16GB version. Haven't had anything happen to it but good to know. Only flaw is the cap if it gets lost. Speed is good.

Actually, I think you should be a lot less actually. I think other people must have clicked at or around a similar time.

I believe how deal/heat much influence you have is based on your overall rep (or maybe even rep + post count combined but I'm not convinced about the post count bit).

I'm on 9 deg but I think you start on 1 deg. I'm sure it used to be 0.1 or 0.5 or something when i first started :?

Just wanted to say that I've had one of these for over 2 years now (4GB that cost me around £50!) and...

it went through the wash once in my trouser pocket and came out unblemished and working perfectly!

My friend did the same with a Sony one and it came out all rusty and was very slow afterwards. I've seen reviews where they run over the Voager with a car and leave it in a glass of water with no damage at all.

After a little while my lid became a bit loose and I don't think it would have been water-tight and then I lost it anyway. Then I recently learned you can request free lids here!

like i said you get what you pay for for the sake of paying £2 more you get what is a much better drive its rubber so should stand a good smack and is also water proof add in corsairs name and you have a wicked peice of kit. You pay as much in some cases more for a rubbish make (kingston Pny).

I think for £13.99 you cant beat it i know you need £15 for free delivery but its not hard to add somthing for a pound or add it to a order you are already placing for the members that have free P+P for scan the also do a 4gb if you dont need as much storage for around £9 when on today only even scan cant beat the amazon £13.99 for the 8gb version.just think back a couple of years not even that and how much this would have cost £60+ it has to be a bargin.

cheers for that requested a couple for standbys you know how easy the lids of usb drives go missing it will be good to have a couple of spares.

I have a 2mb and 4mb variant of this and the thing that sold it for me was the fast read speed and the write speed is none too bad.

30mb read i think the write is around 15mb?

Its a lot faster than a Kingston datatraveller which is favoured round here. Im not a fan of the rubber housing as it picks up every piece of lint in your pocket but its a quality drive from a manufacturer of good standing.

Good price 4gb cost me a tenner a couple of weeks back

IMO Corsair are by far the best pen drives. Usually not the cheapest but the best.

This is a great deal.
#18
can testify these are great pen drives.
#19
Do you know the write/read speed?
#20
had one of these for a while, quite a fast usb pen

voted hot!

i have the 16gb version of this which i bought for around £70 a long time ago (company paid for it :p) and its been awesome. My only gripe is that the lid can easily get lost as its not attached. On and the other one is that because its rubber, if you try to put this in a chain, I am sure the rubber part will get a cut in it and rip so its not one of those pen drives you can put in a strap around your neck unfortunately.
#22
had one for over a year, is very fast and strong, I use it to run divx films directly from on my phillips DVP5960 player. Small down sides are as others have said, potential to lose the cap and also that its a bit tubby so has potential to block adjoining USB sockets if they are close together like on some laptops H n R given

When these were launched they were very fast, in fact the fastest on the market I knew about. Then the OCZ Rally came about and overtook it and a few since. Then Corsair released the GT version (red bits instead of blue) to compete so if you want faster go for that. If you want a tough, great value drive with solid read and write speeds then this is a great option.
#24
I have the GT version. These pens are awesome!
#25
Great price. These Drives are excellent value for money.
#26
Voted hot, brought the 2gb version for about £20 a few years back lol.

Still the fastest usb drive i've own - transfers 700mb avi in around 50s where as sandisk cruzer takes around 4/5mins.

+ it comes with a 10year warranty
