Description

DOMINATOR Airflow fan is designed to be matched with the DOMINATOR heat sinks and allows even more heat to be removed from the DHX XMS2 DOMINATOR modules. The DOMINATOR Airflow fan unit contains three 40mm tachometer-controlled fans to provide impinging airflow to the memory subsystem. With the moderate RPMs required to provide adequate forced air the DOMINATOR Airflow fan is nearly silent.

Ok price, but one would be advised to look around. I recently bought (2nd hand though its a lifetime warranty so meh) 4Gb 1066 Dominator ram with one of these fans for £35

You got a very good deal for 4gb dominator but then it's second hand so you can't really compare them.

I think this is a very good price, although i could never fit one in with my nh-d14.

DIY option is better, single 80mm fan with two screws and two small elastic bands over the top/bottom of the plastic memory slot notches.

That has got to be the worst idea I've ever heard :-D

It takes all of 5mins (if even that) and the airflow of a single 80mm fan is vastly superior than that corsair pos.

I'm not arguing that, I'm just not sure it's a great idea to be hanging fans off your memory mounts.
Who really needs it anyway. If you've clocked your memory to speeds where you need to add its own cooling there's something a bit desperate about you.

Go out & attach a body kit to a Vauxhall Nova instead, at least you'll get some frsh air :-P

Yeah that's the market corsair is aiming these coolers at though, the Corsair cooler clips on the memory slot as well, so not much different to using elastic bands (or even better use plastic zip ties) as a single 80mm fan is not that much heavier.

Waste of money IMO, if you really overclock your ram modules and need the cooling then the custom DIY option gives you much better cooling performance at 1/3rd of the price.
