Nice drives, got one sat here so could highly recommend, use it every other day to fix computers and backup stuff.

However I think the new version 2 is due out at the end of this month. Just checked Scan and they have it on pre order for Oct 31st and at £30.92. Ok so Scan are gonna sting you for delivery IF you cant get it free.. but i honestly dont know what the V2 implies - if its worth waiting for or not - so not gonna vote either way and just a heads up to those thinking of buying.

Scan 16GB Corsair V2

This looks like the standard Corsair Flash Voyager ( not the GT version) . Although good find as the V2 may be superior.

Hmm may of rushed that one as your right its not the GT.

Maybe worth waiting a bit and seeing how they compare. Saying that though my 16GB GT is a lot faster than my old standard 4GB blue one... so id always advise on the GT.

So should i get this or the other one?

I've got the 8GB standard one and pretty much use it everywhere. So a 16GB would be perfect. Although I could also do with a WD passport to transport my movies instead of lugging around a 3.5" external HDD.

I am only guessing but I would expect the V2 not to be as fast as the GT.
A GT V2 will probably be released which you will have to pay a premium for.
I also have a WD Passport drive which is far better VFM pounds per gigabyte.
I formatted it to NTFS so I can fill it with 1080p films & it will fit in you pocket!
You'll have to be patient with transfer speeds though.
