Just to let people know, the i5/i7 only branding isn't true, these kits work perfectly on any AM3 board for AMD processors fine.

good good :D! ordered my corsair dominator kit about 2 months ago and was kinda worried it wouldn't work with my AMD setup. tested it in my bro's PC the other day and they worked fine :D!
thanks for the info mate

Had something similar a couple of days ago, but for £1 extra but free amazon delivery!

Still very hot though!

wish there was a deal like this for DDR2 :(

Hot price for good memory.

The Intel XMP basically means, the memory will configure itself and run at the stated latency and timings on an Intel system, where as on an AMD system you will need to manually enter the correct settings.

Scan have had no stock all week, though, and still haven't. I finally gave up waiting and ordered via a different supplier. Frustrating as this is obviously an excellent price but I couldn't take the risk with the Christmas delivery deadlines looming.

My profile has some cheap ddr2 on it.
Type in on Google (OMG, Google!) Ocz low voltage ddr2 ram 4gb and it should come up with some good cheap ddr2 ram.

It says "in stock" but I know from experience that with scan that doesn't mean it is. However, after a week they would normally have managed to update the site, lol.

Which wasn't actually available.. actually worked out to be £48 delivered or something.

Perhaps I am just paranoid, but I see this as
a) a spoiler by scan, to put the breaks on orders to the competition
b) offering something for sale at an anticipated decreased price in the future. They could even wait to order until the price dropped to a level that gives them a profit.

This is true. It was 1-2 months delivery and £48.

Stunning price although they shouldn't be putting up for sale and advertising it if there's no stock! Clever ploy from them.

If you look at scans oc mobo bundles they use dominator in all their AMD based products.

Not sure about 4gb, but 6gb has been £75 - £80 for a while.

Why not? It clearly says they have no stock so they are just giving you the opiton to order now at current prices. If the price drops just cancel the order and re-order.
It's hardly a ploy, pre-ordering items is very common.

what was the price before this price drop?

They were a fraction over £50 just before they went out of stock. Back in stock since yesterday, I notice. Lot of others starting to drop their prices to around this level now.

Why do you all think these are not in stock ? They were pre-order earlier this week and last week, but now In Stock. I ordered yesterday ~4pm and received today.
