So do most lower priced headsets if you don't treat them right. Even a lot of Turtle Beach and Razer headsets can be quite easily broken.

I had this headset for about 18 months before I upgraded to my A50's and it was without a doubt the best headset I ever had.The sound quality was incredible and the headset itself is really sturdy. The microphone is excellent quality as well - Some of my friends have even said they prefer my old mic. The only issue I had with this headset is that the constant use of it (6 hours a day at some times) does cause the leather from around the earphones to peel, but I wouldn't expect anything less from so much usage.

Heat.

Exactly a year.

"7.1 channel surround sound experience"
Is there actually such a thing as 7.1 surround sound headphones? Or do they just have two speakers that simulate surround sound? If so, are they any better than using virtual surround sound software such as Razer Surround?

You can get headphones with 8 or even 12 speakers/drivers.

Would not recdomend this Headset, shortly after the the warranty expired Mic failed on me. Then a couple of months later so did the actual headphones.

The price of this isn't really great either considering I bought this 2 years ago for £35...
Save up for some Hyper X Cloud IIs they go for around £50 on sale.

I generally treat everything with great care, rarely have things break/fail on me. This product was one of em.

Worth knowing there's a 2 year warranty though, and compared to A50's at £250 (sometimes £150 ish reduced) it's quite a saving for what most think is good sound. Even my Skullcandy Plyr1's are £150, and I love them but would be tempted on these soon.

I had the non USB version and mic was very poor - far too quiet and boosting with gain made it full of noise.
