Counter Strike Source (PC) £7.99 @ shopto.net + free delivery

£7.99 @ ShopTo
Cant remember if this is any cheaper directly from steam, but seems a reasonable price against play.com. Besides i like having the orignal CD packaging. Free delivery is always bonus. Read More

£13.99 on Steam at the moment IIRC.
#2
good price
#3
£7.69 or £7.70 (both inc p&p) on Amazon.
#4
Worth every penny. Not quite as compelling to play as COD 4 online, but got there years earlier. Voted hot.

Anybody used DVDGAMING DIRECT or GAMESBUYER?

Always a bit wary of marketplace sellers after i got stung on a DVD before.

I'm a TF2 person myself, but good deal
#7
Good deal I play it a lot, leagues etc too :)

Left 4 Dead > TF2 > CS:S

That said, they came out in the reverse and all been #1 at some point in my own chart. Ouch CS has been around for 10+ years now.

I find it hard to believe that anybody who has a PC hasn't already got this (It's free with HL2, Episode 1, Orange Box and I think even if you had HL1 and that shocking standalone CS bot game that Turtle Rock did). That said, if you're an FPS fan, and one who plays online with others, then you simply just have to have this in your collection. It's the only online FPS that still has thousands of players, and even though we all love COD4, you always get drawn back to CS for some unexplained reason!

no way! L4D is cool, but so limited with the maps, where as TF2 has so many different maps and game types, and is always being updated!

Because it's so much fun, the gameplay of CS:S is better than COD4. COD4 is too serious.

Try out some of the mods (Zombie escape is my current favourite!)

This is CS Source, not CS. It's been out for 4 years.

I thought the same thing until I really got into TF2 and now L4D is a distant memory. It's fun for a change but I still prefer the chaos of TF2. BONK!
#14
L4D is good but has limited appeal TF2 has more gameplay modes and objectives
banned#15
COLD, cheaper on amazon.

Probably a better deal to pick up HL2 : Orange Box for around about the same, if not only a little more for LOADS more stuff as well as this included too!

CS:S doesn't come with the Orange Box :|

Edit: Also is this the package that comes with DoD:S ?

Don't forget to try the ZOMBIE servers..which i play a lot more often than he regular CS:S!

Try the ones where you have to run and the zombies have alien skins!! Great fun after some beer :)

They've added new game play modes now.... and versus is fantastic when you done all the other modes. I don't know, I just burnt out after playing TF2 for ages. L4D feels fresher as a concept.
#23
screw COD and CS, DoD is the way forward my friends!!!
#24
Still prefer CZ myself - but I am getting on a bit now!!!
