Milk in a bag uses 75% less packaging. You also need the Jugit to put the bag in and they are also on offer at at Tesco for just £1.00.
In store and also on line too!

How to JUGIT®.1. Unfasten the clip-grip on the front of JUGIT®.2. Drop the milk bag inside JUGIT® and shake it down as far as possible.3. Pull the foremost corner of the milk bag tight over the clip-grip area, then close the clip-grip over it until it clicks shut.4. As you close the lid, the spout pierces the bag.5. Make sure the front of the lid has clicked shut.6. Lift the cap up to pour the milk. After use, remove bag and shake out and use last few drops of milk. Clean the removable spout, ready for next time. Recycle bag.

Balls to that.

This is a good offer. I bought on of the jugs some time ago, and use it everyday. I am sure we have covered the cost of the jug 3 or 4 times over now.

The tesco normal milk bags are about 2 pints as well, and cost £1.5 for 2 bags, or 80p per bag

I'm not sure this will take off.

saying that though, it will be a lot less volume in the bin compared to empty plastic bottles.

Sainsbury's piloted a similar scheme late last year - It disappeared by Christmas in our local!
probably due to lack of interest.
Remember using these as a child- it was like a cows nest on the doorstep, as we used to have 10 pints delivered on a Saturday. Had to shake 'em in case any of 'em were a leaker.

Make great 'baloon bombs'.

countrylife milk is 75p for 4 pints in my local and it comes in a plastic bottle!

Even better when at the end of the day, Tesco reduce the 2 pint bags to 35p :) I have a funny feeling someone somewhere over-ordered on the Jugit range.... there was plenty of 2 pinters to go round at Bursledon Tesco Extra (Southampton)
