:? How is this a con?

This is a great price, at the moment Tesco are doing it for £6 down from £6.98.

by 12 months children can drink cows/goats/soy milk.
There is no need for their parents to buy formula milk. So the formula milk company's invent a 'growing up milk'
I have never drunk cows milk with melamine in it before, but thats another story.

My first child went onto cows milk when he turned 1, but with my second child, who is now 16 months, i have been giving him this. It contains more nutrients then cows milk. It has probiotics to help their immune system, and it suits me and my son. They "invented" growing up milk to give parents more options to feed their child. Just like Danone created Actimel to boost immune system, and Flora added Omega 3 and stuff to their products.

I wouldn't say it's a con, but i know what you mean about things like this being invented for us to buy. I tried my son on cow's milk and he refused to drink it, so i am glad i had this. I will try again soon to swap to cow's milk but if he's happy with formula then so am i.

Great price - Same with me re. cows milk- my son wouldnt drink cows milk at all and it helped him get to sleep...

Its about free choice and all babies/toddlers are different - I wish all mums supported each other instead of making some feel guitly for the choices they make.

Wait for the 'breast is best' comments - they always come...

HAHAHA obviously the melamine comment went right over your head.
Anyway i have looked up 2 of the ingredients listed. Actually i have looked up 1 the other one Taurine is present in Red Bull:whistling:
The second one is Sodium Selenite:
Together with the related barium and zinc salts, sodium selenite is mainly used in the manufacture of colorless glass. Its pink coloration cancels out the green color imparted by iron impurities
Sodium selenite is currently used in some food supplements in microgram quantities, but it is toxic at higher levels, the acute toxicity differs from the chronic toxicity which for selenite the chronic toxic dose for human beings is about 2400 to 3000 micrograms of selenium per day for a long time.
I hope your kids enjoy their milk

He's too old now but he did, thanks!
Thats why I asked - maybe you could explain your random melamine comment ...or instead of being mean, post some HOT deals ( I see your more of a 'commenter' than a poster). I come on here to share deals...:whistling:

Just to be picky - Taurine is actually a organic acid present in everyone but is in formulas as something that can help babies digestion and stops toxidity of certain things such as lead....The other statement is that there a food colouring in it - hey I can use Wikipedia too

I'm wasting my precious time answering this as it annoys me so much that women make other women feel soooo guilty for their choices. Why would you be like that? You live your way I'll live mine. Women need to support each others choices.
Now I remember why I work and dont go to any of those mothers groups to socialise - imagine hearing this stuff all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Formula deals - theyre always a nightmare! I'm off to find some fast food and battery farm egg deals LOL

Right here goes:
Google 'melamine' and 'milk' and you will get your answer. ;-)
I don't share deals cos i bulk buy and then sell on ebay. I don't want the competition you see. :p
You have conveniently edited your reply. And i cannot recall the original post. But i think you were harping on about formula milk and its virtues.
Well if you read my post i have not said anything regarding formula milk for babies. What i have commented on is formula milk for children who can drink soy/cows/goats milk and these companies creating a product which is a 'con' I bet if cow and gate invented milk for 5 year olds people like you would go and buy it.
Bad mothers they are always a nightmare. So glad i'm a bloke ;-)
Anyway i'm off to buy some cheap and nasty clothes from vertbaudet.
