Never seen a fat bike below £1500

This fat man is comfortable with its size and aims to enjoy life a little.

Introducing the Coyote Fatman Fat Bike, weighing in at a svelte 22kg it is ideal for riding in sand, snow and soft/loose surfaces.

It has a seven speed Shimano drive train, with an STI shifter for clean shifting on the 14-28 freewheel, and both front and rear 160mm cable discs which are on hand to slow things down when required.

Fat bikes are a simple concept, with oversize tyres that are run at lower pressures for unheralded levels of traction, which replace complicated suspension systems.

The frame and fork are widened to allow wider hubs and tyres, with 26 x 4" tyres fitted to 3.5" wide alloy rims with a super-wide 36 hole hub - providing sure footed, predictable handling.

This one will be it weighs 22kgs!

Don't waste your money on this, it's got the sort of parts you'd find on a Tesco £99 special. At this price you could get a great normal bike.

If you must have a Fat bike (I've got one, it's great) you'll need to spend more to get something worthwhile.

Silverback DoubleScoop (£750 but in short supply)

Charge Cooker Maxi 2 (£850)

On One Fatty (£800-1000 depending on spec)

Genesis Caribou £999 (Reduced recently from £1199)

cheers. I don't really mean this one. just one in general. I spent just over £2k on my bike and I'm happy with it. I've seen one fatbike out when I ride and they sure sound strange too when you hear them trundling along.

Don't anger the cyclists!

They'll throw their £500 pedals at you.

Or their £250 saddle.

Maybe both.

Nothing wrong with a decent steel frame. Shame this isn't.

Rust is not the problem with steel frames, it's weight. However a decent one will be a lot stronger than an aluminium, I have a 25 year old chromoloy steel mountain bike that is quite heavy but virtually indestructible, no rust though.

It's not usually a case of either/or. Most cyclists I know also have a car or two, in my family of 4 we currently have 3 cars and 8 bikes. Anyone want to buy a bike?
