Heat added and tempted at this price

CEX buy this for £9 cash or exchange £12 - so if you don't like it, you won't have wasted much money :)

Heat added and I'm buying! Thanks

Plummeting... Is it really that bad? =/

Hmmm... gets average reviews, yet many seem to say it's too similar to the original, has no real story, and therefore no real reason to exist.

Ouch.

I loved the original and have recently started playing this - more of the same (which isn't always a bad thing)

Far better than the original. Storyline is a lot better and a lot more varied than the original, too.

Definitely worth the £12.93!

Easily worth it at £13, try it yourself don't rely on review scores. There have been plenty of average score games I've bought and enjoyed more than the overhyped COD etc games

The first crackdown didn't really have a story, the sequel does and has a nice yin and yang with fighting terrorists by day and freaks by night. And both are very fun when playing coop.

Personally I hated it and would side with the reviews but a lot of people disagree.

In fairness it was made within 5 months though.

I think with Just Cause 2 at pretty much the same price, I'm going to go with that... I might pick up the original Crackdown for 4 quid or so and see if I like the general concepts / gameplay though.

Game gave me motion sickness, swapped it after a couple of hours play !!!

Crap game.

Purchased. Played it before, it's barely different from the original, but the original was addictive as hell, so I'm content to pay £13.

+ extra heat for the avatar.

I'd hold off until it breaks the sub £10 bracket! Loved the original and bought this the other week for ~£15 and a little disappointed - takes most bits of the original but the map just seems empty of area bosses and real challenges...so in summary not quite as good as the original. Must've been a cheap one for the developers to make, and really does deserve the panning it's had on the reviews, which is a shame after such a great original.

I thought it was a poor game as well, I wouldn't have minded if it was just more of the same as the first one was good but I think this game is far worse. There's pretty much only one mission which you do repeatedly, there's no real story, much of the map is now pointless and the bugs from the original are back, worse and plenty more of them. The auto-targetting system and jump latching mechanics are appalling.
