There is nothing quite like a brushed cotton shirt for providing a bit of extra comfort on the winter trail. Flint fits the bill nicely, constructed from a soft brushed cotton fabric in rich autumnal

Lucky You. I did try it, wouldn't work for me!
Maybe there is a minimum spend? I also didn't have purely outlet stuff in my basket - they was all reduced but some from the main sections too.

A question about the Craghoppers Classic Kiwi trousers.
Can anyone recommend a pair similar to the regular Kiwi's (i.e. similar number of pockets), but with a skinny, less flared leg?
They're OK when wearing boots, but, if I wear shoes/trainers, I feel like I'm going to a 70's disco as Disco Stu :D
Thank you.
Just put some weight on, then they'll be nice and snug :{
Brasher do something similar. http://www.blacks.co.uk/mens/152352-brasher-mens-grisdale-thermal-trousers-dark-grey.html
Although, I am not that sure what's going on with Brasher. They were sucked into Berghaus a while back, and the name was dissolved. I think Berghaus' owners, The Pentland Group, who do a great line in buying prestigious outdoor companies and then turning their product to ****, are just slapping the Brasher name on some cheapo tat. Like what happened with SD and Karrimor.
....or it might be ok.
I'd only want put weight on around my ankles :D
I'll check out the link.
Thank you.

Know I'm probably abit late to the sale as normally it sells out pretty quick in my size. But my local Trespass Outlet (Junction One,Antrim,N.Ireland - they sell Craghoppers also) had similar prices and better sizes in stock. They where walking around the outlet centre giving 15% off coupons also although it did say "excluding clearance items". Got the Dalton Half-Zip fleece (£21 on Craghoppers sale) for £15 handed over the coupon to chance my arm and they didn't blink an eye and took the 15% off as well if this helps anyone. Normally also when this sale goes live Debenhams drop the prices to something similar.
For others also the t-shirts on sale I found are quite small sizing bought the XL's on Black Friday sale and no way where they XL or maybe it was just my belly lol, although the Bear Grylls ones in XL where fine.
They have a habit also of cancelling items and saying sorry out of stock at time of picking. Dear knows which way they prioritise their order picking and was abit disappointed on Black Friday that the Polo Shirts and Shirt I'd ordered ended up cancelled. Upon saying that it has only happened twice to me in about 8 orders over 3 years but still not good customer service.

Errr I meant Regatta outlet, always getting them mixed up as they are beside each other lol.

so how does it interact.
It zips into it and makes it far too bloody warm!
That would depend how cold it is and what you're doing.
I live in Sussex and I'm generally just walking along the beach, even in the winter wind it's too warm. Maybe with just a t-shirt under it would be ok.

Bought my son the fluffy Cleese before Christmas and he loves it. Quality is excellent. It's the little things like the hood being shaped to fit perfectly. The logo is too big for my liking but he doesn't care
I like craghopper quality, however we won't go near these regardless of the price due to the fact that Bear Gryll's is a complete @rse you have to get very lucky to get a decent BG tool that isn't humiliation in your hands, VFM & works well.

(basically possessing his stuff is asking to be drowned out with laughter by bushcrafters where 90% of "Bear approved" kit is concerned).

my daughter said (back at xmas) looking at the site, that's ok i'd wear it but zoom in & see if the BG logo can be removed without wrecking the top, I don't want to look like a [email protected] ..she's 12 & in the cubs onwards has seen so much baloney from him..

Not at all happy. I ordered a Aldwick Goretex jacket for the sale price of £42, then received an email 2 days later saying "We sincerely apologise on this occasion we have been unable to authorise the payment therefore we have unfortunately now had to cancel the order detailed below. "
Which is complete nonsense as the payment was authorised at the time of booking and I did receive an order confirmation. I don't think I'll be using Craghoppers again if that's their idea of customer service.
I ordered the 'aquadry' brampton jacket http://www.craghoppers.com/brampton-jacket.html which is already 'reduced' to £42 without the need for the now expired 'promo50'
Possibly it may not be quite as good as goretex for waterproofness but personally Im very happy with it so far - I wont be fell walking for hours on end so Im suspect it will be fine in the rain for a couple of hours or so at a time - I also will only try to use it when its raining to prolong the life of the waterproof coating & avoid washing it unless I really have too
I wouldnt say it was a bargain at £42 more like good value for money - you can see similiar prices in places like TKMaxx but whats good about ordering online is that you know its a brand new item & its not going to be shop soiled at all which is important when you are trying to avoid washing the product to protect the waterproofing
I also ordered a couple of pairs of aquadry stefan trousers http://www.craghoppers.com/stefan-trousers.html
for £15 each after the promo50 discount which again Im quite happy about
the main downside is that they are a much looser fit than the kiwi pro stretch trousers I have already been using for years & which i really love - again I will only use the stefan trousers when it rains so can live with the 'bagginess' of them under those circumstances
how thick is the coat? I'm looking to buy it and want to use it for the next few months when it warms up slightly.

decent thickness - not 'padded' as such but it has an inner fleece liner - fine for a cold, windy, rainy day

if it was snowy I would switch to my padded parka
Thanks for this. Got the wife and myself a coat each. Mine £160 down to £40, hers £120 down to £30. Received them yesterday and very happy with them both.

Cheers.
Have not received my order and cannot find a confirmation email around time my quidco tracked my visit so think I screwed the order so jackets won't be coming. What a plonker!

I take it all back! I rang Craghoppers customer service yesterday and the friendly lady on the phone told me the reason why they had been unable to authorise the payment was that I'd given them my delivery address as my billing address and as a consequence my bank had declined the transaction. She was however quite happy to reorder the jacket for me at the promo price of £42 even though on the website it's now gone back up to the full price of £84.

So well done Craghoppers! Next time I complain about a company I'll be sure to check that the fault isn't mine....

What are CH like in quality compared to brands such as North Face and Berghaus ect..
I bought some of their Kiwi Long shorts about 3 years ago and was really impressed with them. Last year they had a similar sale so I bought several more pairs. Sadly, they were not the same quality. Material was thinner, pocket linings bobbled (the original purchased shorts never did) and a button fell off after the second wear. Margins or improvements? You decide!
Quality not as good as it was but that seems to be universal. Still probably better value than some of the bigger names.
That may or may not be the case but trading on a reputation, It's a slippery slope. Most folk will gladly pay a little extra for better quality. Price is not the deal breaker. Junk is junk, at any price. You pays your money, you makes your choice.
What I find interesting is when you pay a higher price for premium branded products, you generally take greater care of them. And unsurprisingly, they last longer as they are probably worn less frequently. This undoubtedly says more about us as people than it does about the products we choose.
Most if not all of my large Craghopper wardrobe was bought a few years ago when they weren't so well known, the quality was better, and the sale prices were brilliant. I've been regularly wearing a lightweight waterproof jacket that cost me about £18 for around 6 years or so - still unmarked and waterproof - and I've got a couple of Kiwi jackets on standby. My Kiwi trousers - 6/7 years old - are beginning to look a bit tired and they'll soon be replaced from the wardrobe stock.
best buy one, you never know when it's going to reindeer

I've just had a second email, form a different CS person, giving me another pre-paid collect+ label.
Not getting a great impression of the way Craghoppers is managed!
I contacted Customer Services and explained. They accepted the mistake and sent me a free collect+ label to return the jacket, which I will do today.
If you look at the website now, they have changed the name of the jacket to remove "hooded", but they still have a hood in the description X)
Same here. Looks different to what I ordered
Also, mine was "Dirty Olive" (sounds like an ex of mine), rather than "Olive" in colour, did anyone get an olive one?
The colour is a bit naff, plain old olive would have been fine

All the options for sending back seem to indicate the customer pays postage on return, as tolester says thats not on as it was advertised incorrectly
I guess orders have been cancelled as buyers are starting to complain about the incorrect advertising and wanting refunds
