Crane- 9ft All Round telescopic rod & reel at ALDI - Hoylake Road £6.99
These have been in Aldi for a good few weeks now for about 12.99 if memory serves me. I've been in a few aldis around Liverpool and they all seemed to have failed to clear all the stock at full RRP. Bagged this for 6.99, not expecting too much at that price but for a very occasional fisher like me its a steal. Now just need some lagers.
ps - it comes with a carry pouch and the reel is pre loaded with 10lb line.

Poorly equipped, mindless, senseless, boozed up anglers does not a good mix make.
The damage a lack of knowledge can cause is staggering.
Please think twice before buying this if you fit into any of the above categories, by all means try angling but either go with someone who knows what they are doing or do your research beforehand. You will enjoy it a lot more!
And as above make sure you have a rod licence! No excuse!

Exactly this. Don't buy a 7 quid rod and head down to the canal. You'll get p*ssed off, bored and end up going home. Either that or you'll probably kill a fish.
