If you are the kind of ride who puts their saddle down for descents, then the Crank Brother Joplin L Seatpost is the answer to your prayers. With just a quick flick of the under saddle lever, you can drop your saddle by 75mm (3in), enough for even the gnarliest descent. And when you get to the bottom, just unweight the saddle, press the lever and youll have the saddle back up to full height for the climb back up.

The Joplin seatpost works on the same principle as your typical office chair, the seatpost's hydraulic action allows you to instantly fine tune your seat height, and therefore your riding position. If you dont want to drop the saddle the whole way down, fine, just let go the lever once your saddle is at the desired height and you are ready to ride. No more interrupting the flow while you mess around with your seat collar. Just get on your bike and ride.

Its been £100 for a couple of weeks now.

Its a great price for a good functional dropping seat post IF you dont mind stripping it down to clean it every month or so and can put up with the sideways wobble of the saddle due to inherent design flaw with the clamp.

This version is much better than the remote cable operated one, which generally gets in the way.
