£1.69 is disgusting my local corner shops only charge £1 for 4 pints for standard milk

this isnt standard milk :whistling:

having said that, this pure milk is always £2.50 for 2 x 2L anyway at tescos so not as good a deal as they advertise.

Love this stuff though and it takes weeks to go off unlike standard milk so cheaper for me really.

Hot from me too - great milk!!
#5
Excellent price for this milk,we buy it all the time, was this price at netto's last week
#6
ergh horrible stuff!!
I LOVE milk & can honestly say, this is the worst stuff i have ever tasted!
#7
Always nice.
#8
love this milk only just discovered it lol
#9
Hot from me. Not ordinary milk, it lasts much longer due to the extra filtration, which is why it is a premium price.
#10
Always buy this milk and an extra plus at such a low price.

Thanks OP.

Great milk that is price fixed by the big supermarkets at £1.69. Not got a Tesco near me but as usual Asda and Sainsbury will copy soon.
#12
If anyone has the semi skimmed or goes through a lot of milk then the Creamfields 0.75% 3ltr is only £1 in Tesco's too, so a better deal.

You can get 2 x 2 Litres of Milk for £1.50 from farmfoods at the moment (Best Before 10 Feb was today's date at my local store)
#14
Not a thread on the price of milk! This is for quality Cravendale at lower than the usual £1.69 unless rip off Co-OP £1.99!

We all know you can buy milk cheaper that goes off very quickly, all know you can buy cartons to last longer BUT this is for those that understand Cravendale milk!
#15
It's about time Tesco dropped their prices on milk. Across the road from my local Tesco is an Aldi with it's milk 44p cheaper. Cravendale milk is filtered through a bactofuge that gets rid of more of the bacteria that causes milk to go off over time, therefore it lasts longer. Also Iceland do 4pts for £1.

Any ordinary milk I ever buy has over one week before it's sell by date. It only ever costs between 85p and 90p for 2 litres in most local shops. Don't see how this milk is anything special other than some clever marketing about bacteria.

MMMIIILLLLK!!!

It takes so long to go off as they filter out most of the bacteria in the milk.
This makes it taste better too.

Voted hot, thought my local Tesco would have sold out as I didn't get there till 7pm but there were 4 left right at the back out of reach. I asked the man behind the Deli counter to get 2 down for me and heard people moaning that they had been looking for someone to reach them.

This is a great price - this milk lasts for ages once opened .. and I mean weeks !!

I only discovered this milk a few months ago .. but have saved money buying this instead of ordinary milk that I often threw away when it had gone off ... thanks for the posting OP.

Absolutely. Here, here. This farmfoods deal on milk and the deal on hovis bread (50p for 800g loaf) has seen me returning time and time again to farmfoods. A quick look at the price per 100ml puts this at a very low 3.75p. No other supermarket gets anywhere near this price with most starting at 7.5p per 100 and upwards. If you have a farm foods near you go in and check this out. Also check out the 33p a can on heinz tomato soup, much better than the 80p mark that the bigger supermarkets charge. I have been converted to a self confessed farmfoods fan and you big supermarket fans.......keep on spending. The only good thing worth buying regarding tescos is the shares of which I own. Its people like this that bid up tescos 'worth'. Either way I win. Happy days.

Lol, I consume about 3-4 pints per day myself, all my life since I was about 4 years old, I love milk... I like to consider my taste buds as sensitive to milk as I have so much of it, and I can tell you Cravendale does taste better, but the cows are not having it back, it's mine!

I'm going to stock up today!

Ordinary milk should last a week after opening.
You should try Iceland milk if yours doesn't.

The big thing for Cravendale is it's use by date is usually at least 2 weeks from when you buy it.
Thich means you can buy it and leave in the fridge for a week unopened, and it will be fine once opened. :)

Heat added.

Hubby drinks milk and says this is the BEST he has ever tasted - only buys it when on offer though so better stock up LOL

I only go on what it says on the cartons. Normal milk always say use within 3 days of opening, whereas Cravendaale says 7 days.:)

My standard badger lasts for a week after opening. Perfect for my sad lonely self.

Smashing deal, I have been buying two for £3 at Asda, cheers OP.

5p per 100ml creamfields on a special offer and the cheapest Tesco are prepared to go.
3.75 per 100ml on a consistent standard priced semi skimmed at farmfoods and has been this price for ages.
For god sake do the sums. This aint that great a deal, but instead identifies how expensive Tesco prices their milk in the first place. Some need to wake up and smell the coffee.:?
