fab price, one of the best for milk I have seen, would add rep if I knew how!!
#2
is it store specific
#3
Good whilst it lasts which won't be long.
Tesco and all the other supermarkets
charge £1.53 for 4 pints normally.
This promotion is because Aldi, Lidl
and Iceland sell milk at two-thirds of
the price or less and don't rip their
customers off. When Tesco have got
their little bit of publicity the price
will be back up quick.
Good deal for now though so drink
it while you can.
#4
Is this nationwide? What make and kind - semi-skimmed etc?
#5
I am off to Tesco now...
#6
bring back milk in pints! Still a good deal though

Pints? Why would you want to ignore progress and go back to the dark ages? Come on, even third world countries use metric, maybe its time britain joined the rest of the world.

Good Deal!

Even a trip to the Bavarian Beer House in London involves beer by the pint. In Germany a Mass (aka Stein) sold in Germany is 1 litre. This however is serverd up as 2 pints in my Local. Which is 1.13 Litres. Try sinking a few of them at lunch...Hic! :-)

This IS a good deal.
I buy the 3 litre 1 from tesco every week and it's normally £1.35 i think so down to 75p is a wicked deal :)
Incidentally, what's the new equivalent of giving rep now???
#10
0.75% fat so basically this is just water with a bit of whit colour 50pence seems too much to me in that case. If it was proper full fat stuff this might be a good deal.
#11
full fat as in yellow gunky fat mixed with the 0.75% milk? I'd rather the less percentage fat milk thanks.

For info
It is not politically correct to call developing countries 'third world countries'

hot hot hot luv this milk as its the healthier option to semi skimmed milk and tastes great with my protein shakes 8)
#15
Brilliant price.
#16
Very true. ASDA have just run a similar "Promotion" and now the price is back to £1.70 plus.ALDI price is constant @ £1.29.

Aldi milk at ours is only £1.09 for weeks now.

this is between skimmed and semi skimmed ..im so used to skimmed cus of my diet ..(protien shakes) ...and i had this before and tastes like more like semi to full fat..but without the fatty cream...still ok if your a trying to slim down the fat in your diet...as it does tast good..
#21
Does USA not still deal in "pints"? And it's hardy a third...sorry, developing country....aprt from in girth of course!
#22
Guys stop moaning about supermarket milk prices, support your local shops, 2 litres here is always £1 in a choice of two shops in the Village. Even bread is cheaper local than the giants, Kingsmill 89p a loaf.

The reference is not for standard milk but for the"PURITY" filtered milk.

Don't forget at Sainsbury's they do 2 x 4 pint 1% fat milk for £2
#25
there was me thinking it was a bargain for 90p for 2 litres the other week 8) bonus
#26
i paid 90p for 2 today with my discount :)
#27

Full fat milk isnt unhealthy and wont make you fat, Ive drunk a mug of full fat milk daily for the past 30 years and Im still a nice trim 68kg. What makes you fat is being a lazy twit that doesnt do enough excercise or being someone cursed with bad genes or being someone unable to stop helping themselves to supersize portions of food.

I wish the fatties would just learn to control themselves so that tasty healthy food wasn't gradually phased off the shelves to make way for 'healthier option' crap like these virtually fat free milks and yogurts that taste awful to the healthy majority.

The milk is Creamfields 0.75% fat (purple) - it is nationwide as all over today's papers. The milk is normally a good price at 90p and £1.35 respectively.Hope that answers all questions.I have edited the title to read creamfields but cannot find a pic.Edited By: maccy1 on Jul 23, 2010 01:33: change in title

Thanks for that ;)

really? How would you know? Do you know the difference a developing country and a third world one? hmm, think not.

£1.50 for 2 x 2ltrs at Farmfoods, has been for ages. This is a better deal while it lasts though, but then straight back to Farmfoods.

Couldn't agree more! Its ridiculous that people refuse to move to metric.. if for no other reason than it makes far more sense!

Would be a hot deal for me, but my nearest tesco is over 6 miles away, so count in petrol and the milk gets pretty expensive. Still voted hot
#35
Hot for me
#36
LOL 0.75% fat, white water.
#37
Is this actually in the stores now or does it start next week?
#38
Al-Halal in Bradford (part of worldwide foods) sells 2L for 69p - this is their normal price for full fat and the skimmed variety. Tesco/Asda up to their usual tricks. The real price of milk and has fallen through the floor, so Tesco/Asda ripping off people even more now with their high prices.
#39
Still 75p today in Tesco - BARGAIN :O)
