Nice gaming headset at PC World, almost down to half price! Picked one up today after reading some reviews - reserved online first just in case they didn't have it in stock, but I wasn't disappointed :-) Excellent quality sound - much better than what you'd normally get for 20 quid.

I have been tempted by these in the past. Could I use them at the same time as speakers or would they muffle the sound too much?
I would prefer just hearing team speak through the headphones themselves.

Sure I will get removed from friend lists if I don't start using a mic on L4D soon

I've never understood the concept of these. All you can hear through them is teamspeak or chat..... and they cover both ears meaning you cant properly hear what's going on in the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong..... I did have a pair (different brand) and I thought they were rubbish.

You get teamspeak and game sound through these at the same time. Sound is clear and has pretty loud bass.

Had a pair of these for ages. Cracking headset for the money.

Dammit, just bought a pair a couple of weeks ago.

Nice headphones, need to bit of stretching on the banding over a few weeks to get real comfy though.

As for the using these and speakers, all depends on you computer setup, can be done with the right playing about, personally I've got speakers plugged into the front jack and these in the back and just turn on speakers when needed.

I've got three sets of suitable audio outputs/inputs free as my speakers are USB (Side panel/Rear panel/Keyboard: Logitech G110).

Might get a Plantronics 310 instead...

I stand corrected. Wish they had done that on the crappy pair I bought!

I've had these for a few years now and have nothing but good things to say about them. The sound is excellent, deep bass and they are verrrry comfortable to wear with the fabric-cushioned headband.

Great headset and a hot deal at this price.

You can set all the audio to come through the device (in the PS3 menu) so you hear game & voice through the headset. Same with PC.

Wrong. Depends on your settings in the software/games that you use. Game sound is seperate from mic sound in most games, and it's always seperate if you use a dedicated voice application like teamspeak/ventrilo. So you can adjust the two volumes (game and mic) seperately to get whatever level of sounds you want.
