Well ur one of the very very then. i know a good few people with these and had no problems, infact they love them and cant find a fault in them, especially for the price.

This has been down to at least £18 previously so unless this is a new revision it's not that hot a deal.

Previously being the key word.
Atm this is the best deal going for this headset im pretty sure.

I have some of these, my brother has a pair too, best headsets we've ever owned. Had them about 2 years, his gets a lot of use but mine isn't really anymore.

Although we also paid about £18 for them, I think from Dell.
#6
I have this headset, paid £30 last year for them. I like them alot, comfortable and good sound. I like how you can detach the mic as well.
#7
I'm lukewarm on this headset, I've had it for 8 months and it isn't all I'd like. Mike is detachable, but can be difficult to put back in so that it works, necessitating a bit of testing and re-fitting (thought it didn't work at first). Ear cups sit on the ear, and have fabric covering. Good long cord with in-line volume control.
#8
FS paid £34.50 for these last month =[ Great deal fat boy heat added!

I have one of these & I love it.
Question : Where can I find a USB/mic adaptor so I can use the Mic. in my Ps3 for chat?
I have tried the singstar USB converter, and that didn't work..
#11
Need a replacement as my current fatal1ty headset has stopped working (which is my fault given how often I've got the wires trapped under the chair, dropped the headset and pulled it hard accidentally).

£6.50 for delivery :(. Guess its still better than other offers around atm.

Really wish they were £18 still, these are such fantastic headsets.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Vantage-USB-Headset-PS3/dp/B000TLNTYY you could go for that headset. I'll never go back to bluetooth headsets after having this one.
#13
I had this set of headphones for 2 years, fantastic quality and sound, shame I broke them using the hoover!
#14
Turtlebeach x1 or these?

I got these for £17 delivered from Dell, my mic was also dead but only wanted to use them as headphones so didn't matter.
#16
Sorry cold from me, headsets normally around this price and in truth should get a better set of headphones and a seperate mic, this is quite poor quality. Also couldnt get delivery lower than 6.30£?
#17
I got these from dell about a year ago now and they are excellent however I do find the mic plug has a habit of falling out of the port on my laptop, that could well be a problem with the laptop though. Highly recommended.
#18
I think these headphones are great although I got them for £18. Shipping is the killer here.
#19
Why should it cost them £6.30 to ship this? Ridiculous price.
#20
These headphones aren't great for whats on the market now. They cost a bit more but get a pair of Tritton's. Best headphones you will ever find for Gaming. Universally compatible too.
#21
Fatal1ty is a tool, I refuse to buy anything endorsed by him or branded with his name or his hideously ugly visage.

Also, these MIGHT have been good for use about a decade ago or so, but times have changed and close to 30 notes for these cans do not represent value for money anymore.
#22
As a few others in this thread i bought these a year ago from Dell for 17 quid delivered. I like them although i dont really use the microphone. Theyre pretty comfy on the ears. I'd buy them again for the same price but i'm not sure i'd shell out 25-30 for them.
#23
I got one of these from Dell last year for less than £20 quid. Overall I wouldn't really recommend it, as although the sound quality is reasonable it doesn't fit comfortably over my ears.

This is absolutely right.

You can get much better headphones for this price in terms of sound and build quality.

Buy a clip-on mic if you need it for gaming.
#25
I have a set atm and i actually forget im wearing them since so comfortable. the detaachable mic means i can use them as headphones too for out and about without looking silly. sound quality is good.
#26
I have used Pixmania and will NEVER use them again, use with caution!
#27
These headphones are average at best. They are relatively comfy i'll give them that but the sound quality is meh. They have far too much base and thus are useless for positional audio in Gaming. Suitable for music but there are far better for Gaming.
#28
We have these in the work and there really good :)
#29
I had a pair until I broke it, it was nice.
Wouldn't want to pay a huge amount for a pair, but they are not bad for something inexpensive, and definitely comfortable (nice if you wear glasses!).
#30
I need a decent gaming mic, don't particularly want the headphone element though...

Tried using my 360 headset but it's absolutely ridiculous connecting the pad, microphone and crossfire adaptor to the computer to make it work
#31
I have bought three of these

All are still in great working condition after 2 years or so...

One for me, one for my gf and one for my firend!

Add another with a dead mic. I rarely removed it from the headset and its still dead. Doesn't work at all. That was after 3 months or so of light gaming.

Headset sound is brilliant, only bettered IMO by my simply superb Logitech g35's

Good price but not the most durable set around.
#33
Headset is OK, but Pixmania, COME ON people when will you learn about this site.
#34
Would really like to have examples of what headphones are better for the price (mic or no mic)?

Dell used to have these for like £17 each last year. My friend uses this but he has the USB version, I think I prefer the old 3.5mm jacks design like this one is.

I think that is the higher spec version which retails about £50. Not sure what the differences are.

Got this when it was at dell, a long with a small company discount and free del. These are really good, not had any problems with it so far. Certainly not your average £10 ones.

But surprised this is still selling at such price, especially if its pretty old. But i guess that just shows these aren't that bad

Sennheiser 201s
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3385743/Sennheiser-HD-201-Headphones/Product.html

I personally think they sound better than the Sony MDR-XD200s the guy two posts above linked to.

There is kind of a vague consensus that, in the realm of cheap headphones, the 201s are kings.
But many headphones can be about taste. You can research them all day and you'd still need to listen to each set to make sure they are right for you.

But the 201s offer a good all-round quality for the price.

Also available from Amazon for the same price.

Can those who are saying there are better headphones available for the same/similar price please link some?
I need a new set to replace my aging plantronics dsp 400.

So are both the MDR XD200s and the 201s better for gaming than the Fatal1ty ones?

Not really into high quality music (usually stream from youtube), but for me being able to tell which direction enemies are coming from in games is fundamental.

If these headphones are better, I'll certainly be ordering, as that's half the price compared to the Fatal1ty, and I can live without a mic!

Well there is only so much the headphones can do in that regard, but yeah, the 201s have a better soundstage than the creative set. The Sony's should as well.

A good sound card will improve the positional audio more than the headphones will.
