Great headset from the reviews I've read.

Closest price I've found is £5.41 more + shipping (30% more) at ebuyer.

RRP £34.99

For the sake of paying a few quid more than a tenner it's got to be better than buying a generic headset.

I have this very headset and they are great. Shame that the microphone no longer works. Have tried to get hold of Creative but they seemed to have no knowledge of the product even existing.....which is always a good thing :whistling:
Hot price, very tempting to buy myself another pair!

Edit: They have updated their website since the last time I tried reporting a problem and they have now added this product onto their site.

Paid £25 for this a few weeks back from Amazon, though I had a £10 voucher so it was only £15, even made a video of me opening it because I'm so cool.

Voted hot. Good deal even though it makes me sound really nasally.

Bought one two months ago for £27 from play.com this is a brilliant price and must not be missed as this is by far the best gaming headset I have used (altec lansing was very good too). The removeable mic is an added bonus.

It sounds like the build quality isn't excellent, but having personally broken four more expensive gaming headsets in the last four years (well three, but the last and current set has had significant bits drop off) I think it's a problem the whole field suffers from at the moment.

But the sound and microphone quality is supposed to be decent so at £18 delivered it seems like a pretty good buy for anyone looking for a cheap or stop-gap headset.

Saitek do a similar headset with microphone addon piece
http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/saitek_cyborg_51_headset/

They (Saitek) have good reputation for excellent customer support, you might want to try them and just tell them you have a Cyborg 5.1

I personally have had the same experience as EndlessWaves, many of my headsets have broken down. My friend also had two of the Razer headsets destroy themselves internally, and they are like £70 each or something crazy. I bought a pair of the cheap Trust 5.1 headphones for around £20 and they are excellent, pretty sturdy too and work as good as any other headset I have used. Had them for a while now and no matter how much I throw them around they are still in a good working order.

anyone know if you could use this on a 360, like get an adapters to change the mic jack and the headphones to a tv one?

Maybe they don't like my crazyness then, I spent £70 on the zalman theatre 6 headset when it came out, and it lasted about six months before the connection to the headset came loose so I got it replaced and the replacement lasted about seven more months. I then got a set of the original medusas for about the same price. Nice headset but I had the headband on them snap completely after the best part of a year. Then I decided to go for a pair of icemat audio siberias, I think they were about £50. After about a year, year and a half, the volume control unit went all crackly. It looked to be sealed but it was detatchable so I replaced it with an extension cable and then recently the headband came off and the sound quality has degraded noticibly.

I think my next set will be some Audio-technica ATH-AD700s for around £90, unless anyone can recommend some durable headphones. Although I am tempted to get these as a stopgap measure since they're cheap and hopefully better than the broken siberias (has anyone compared them to a set of siberias?)

You must have trouble wearing these Doberman Pharaoh - seeing as you don't seem to have a head.

Would this work with an XBOX 360?

It has the same jack as any normal headphones (for example you can use it for your ipod, green coloured PC port or most TV headphone slots.)

Those look pretty nice, suppose to be quite good too. They look a lot more durable than some others I have seen and the price ain't too bad.

Even if it does, double headphone headsets tend to muffle the sound from the TV when used with the 360 - I got one to try last year - not a success :(

Seems to have excellent reviews on the web, especially at the is price, ordered one purely for gaming, voted HOT!

What do you mean "double headphone headsets"? I'm looking for a good headset for my PS3, anyone got any recommendations? ;-)

I had a look at them, well the 80ohm version which is apparently better if you're not using them with an amp, but I was a bit worried that closed headphones might block out external noises too much.

I am using the Audio-technica ATH-W1000 cans and a £1 mic from poundland.
