Good price, and most reviews online are positive. I was about to order one, then wondered whether a USB headset would in fact be better?

Does anyone know?

I'm guessing that a USB one will be easier to use and setup, but could be very wrong

I've got this headset, and it is very comfortably. Does take a week or so of wearing to soften the foam up, but then it fits perfectly.
Detachable microphone is nice touch, cables are very long so good for gamers. Sound quality is also quite good, not the best, but good enough for the majority of users/uses.

I bought these when they were about £25, so good price, heat added

Anyone know if this can be used on my ps3?

the USB version of headsets use thier own sound chip so it wont be as good sound quality if it went through your sound card

Already posted here :

It can also be bought cheaper by price-matching at PCWorld....read link above.

Thanks

I was leaning towards USB mostly because my headphone socket is at the back of the PC and hard to get to.

Unless you're likely to need to unplug it I would go for normal mini-jacks, as mentioned USB ones use their own built in soundcard which is just another bit to go wrong.

Thanks :)

Anyone know of something similar for the 360? The standard 360 headsets just aren't loud enough.
#10
Anyone know of any A2DP bluetooth headsets?
#11
Just note that it says "Pro" the ones sold on Amazon (£21.99) don't state them being the pro series :)

Ordered mine :)

Good price i guess, warm at most from me as people have said they usb = mediocre sound quality. Need a good pair of wired cans & a x-fi + to get good sound....+ a seperate digi mic for best set up imo :)

Heat Added, Bought this headset in the last week for more from Ebuyer..

Use it for skype mainly, sound quality and mic quality seem rather good (a lot better than the Logitech one i had)
Comfortable to wear unless you plan on lying down with your head on a pillow ;)

I got these free with my X-Fi card at the start of the year and I cant recommend them enough! Awesome sound, bass and trebles are so clear, inline volume control and mic! Super comfy but the only downfall, if you can call it that, is that you can hear the sound slightly if your not wearing them. Apart from that, an awesome bit of kit!

Hmmmm-I ordered mine on the 12th.

I just logged into my account and it's still sitting in "Order Taken" status (still showing £17.99).

What's the betting I get an email from Play telling me the price was wrong/has gone up etc? :whistling:

Just received mine today, postage was slowwwww. Although there is nothing on the packaging to state these are the "pro" series headset.

So I'm guessing there is only one Fatality Headset. @ Azzin and all those concerned give Play a call to chase up your order, their customer services are normally very friendly.

Thanks, I rang them and the guy said there had been a "problem with the warehouse they were sourcing them from", but that it had been resolved and it should be getting posted in the next day or so.

The guy seemed straight up, but I won't hold my breath....:whistling:
