I really like these earphones, they are very light, compact, durable, comfortable and sound great imo. I've had many more expensive buds and ended up going back to these as the others either break (Sony) or feel a bit bulky to wear or to store in your pocket.

    Heat from me.

I've just purchased a pair of these, very pleased with them. Heat added

These phones are great and way above what you might expect for the price.

Used to be supplied by Dell with their laptops etc - don't know whether that is still the case, but I bought 3 surplus pairs off someone who was supplied them with a bulk order for just £1.99! :)

I bought two pairs of these a couple of years ago and they are both going strong...my daughter uses hers constantly. Good sound, hard to better for the money.

My favourite headphones for the price. Great sound though I'm on my 3rd pair now as they only last me about a year before one of the speakers packs up but still worth the money. Voted hot.

Might be cheaper, but still think it is worth paying the extra couple of £'s from Amazon for the assurance that they are not fakes.

Lots of fake EP630's around. Those somehow are even more fragile than the real ones, which usually only last about 6 months anyway.

I agree with the quantity of fakes around. I have been trying to buy a pair of these for the last few weeks, and both pairs I bought were fakes! You can tell the fakes by looking at the following site:

I am not 100% sure about these pair either - I was under the impression that all the 'Eco' packaged ones are fakes. How trustworthy are Amazon's Preferred Merchants?

Play are a massive company... Why would they sell fakes and not amazon??

DJBucko2009 - If you looked properly it's being sold by a 3rd party seller.

Possibly because it's not Play selling them for that price, it's another merchant selling via Play.

I've checked the ones that I purchased from Amazon (supplied by indigostarfish) with the link that you supplied and they appear to be genuine, even though they in a eco box (the box has the creative branding)

The silver part has a rounded edge, the back plastic where the ear bud locates is angled and the cord is the same length on each side. The grill is shiny with no sign of any glue - and they sound really good.

Why does this site keep messing up my editing???

I've had 3 pairs of EP-630. Not because I really like them and want some spairs; but because they keep dying. They are good earphones for the money - comfortable and a nice sound. But out of the 3 pairs I've had none have lasted longer than 3 months. I use them 2-3 hours a day and have a circular cable wrap I keep inside a soft pouch - so I know it's not how they are stored that's killing them.

Good sound but in my experience, very prone to losing all sound in the left earbud (yes, all three pairs suffered this issue!). Just remember you get what you pay for...

PS. Current owner of Jays a-Jays Three's... Hopeful owner of the £28 Sennheiser IE7's via the recent Orange deal :-P

These are great headphones for the price, both myself and my brother have a pair.

I had a pair of Sennheiser CX500's before which I stupidly lost, and they're 99% as good as they were.

Had some of these before sounded great until they died two months later. Might have just been unlucky maybe..

I've been using mine over a year and they've been in the wash - still work great

I've had mine for three years now and they've had intensive usage and not a single problem. This includes travel, mountain biking and gym use.
Bought for £7-99 in 2007 from amazon so for me, longevity is not a problem and they are genuine iems.
Only now have I decided to upgrade when i saw the Sennheiser IE7 Orange deal posted.
