heres a review check them out at amazon reviews

I thought I'd add my tuppence worth as I've owned my EP-630 earpohnes for well over a year now and am still extremely pleased with them. I've not had any problems with them and would strongly recommend them to anyone

I've had a pair of these for a year now and they are really very good! i'm no audiophile so can't comment on how they compare with others... :)

These are great earphones, but I agree they don't last all that long (though more than 3 months for me!)

These are my all-time fave earphones after trying all kinds at all prices (including Bose and Sony noise cancelling ones). Always have a spare pair in case I leave them somewhere yet again plus three pairs in use (home, office, travelling).

I even use them as earplugs with nothing playing when on planes.

This is from a Play trader, not play themselves so they could be fake. I've got a set of real ones and they're fairly good but not the second coming of earphones people seem to think they'll be. Better than ipod ones but not as good as a pair my girlfriend got with a Sony CD Walkman a few years ago which really surprised me. The fact they're the ear canal type is good, though, because they stay in really well.

I've had mine for about 6 months and no durability problems. If they break so much why keep buying them? If mine break I'll just solder the earbud back on or fit a new jack.

price gone up

Can't see them at that price now but would definitely not buy from a play trader as they are almost guaranteed to be fake. (from past experience)
Fake ones sound a lot more tinny and as people mainly buy these type for their bass then it kind of defeats the object.

Yes, I wouldn't buy from a trader as there are a lot of fakes about.

Because they are a) great, b) cheap - so even though they only last me around a year they are still worth replacing.

i had a real pair, lasted 4 months. after a while, the left earphone lost all sound and stopped working :(. apart from that they were pretty good earphones

I've had a pair for over a year and so has my 15 year old son....(he took mine after hearing them compared to standard mobile phone earphones..so I bought my self another pair)...no problems with them at all!

I really like the sound of them....can't go wrong for the price...I would buy them again
#13
Be wary of fakes as there are plenty of them. Personally I wouldn't buy earphones from a ebay, amazon or play trader unless I knew they were reliable.
#14
ive had mine for a 18months - been in the washing machine and still working fine. Great earphones - sound beautiful with my walkman mp3 - these earphones are easy to drive and go loud.

playtraders are fake - £11 on amazon at the mo.

Great sound quality! Poor build quailty! Hot at this price!
#16
I think this is off PlayTrade which is much like marketplace/eBay... too many fakes, would avoid!

Mine still work after 2-3 years and I've not exactly treated them well. I find them good for devices that output low volume as they make them sound louder than your traditional variety of headphones. Suppose you'd save a tiny amount of power as well being able to have the volume lower than usual. Great price if they're legit.

I've had a pair for 2 and half years with no probs before the right earphone has now stopped working, but I reckon they're a very good buy, good value for money, no regrets.

Cant speak about this reseller but i must point out that play.com traders are rife with fakes. Been stung myself there once with a pair of Creative EP 850's. I strongly recommend buying from authorised retailers or from a source that has a reputation to maintain. If something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Fantastic earphones. Had mine 2+ years. Good as new. Audo compares well with other makes/models MUCH more expensive (including some £80 Sue one's I had). Total no brainer. Shame deal is expired. Get them anyway as you can't go wrong in my experience

Is there a way to tell if they are fakes without using them?

I got some for my son's ipod touch last week from play for £5.59 (playtrade - SmartDeals) and I'm a bit worried now.

one I've noticed is that on the real ones the plastic coating over the jack is not connected to the speaker wires if that makes any sense, hard to explain!

(I've had fake ones in retail packaging before so wouldn't trust that)

Aye, it's like a little rubber sleeve and you can turn it round without the wires or the jack moving. The cable is also rubbery rather than plastic.

Er, yes you can as they might be fake. Stick to the retailers when it comes to these.

The earphones you bought may be perfectly genuine. Last week, I bought some Sony's from Amazon for a fiver each to use as spares. But fakes are getting better. The appearance and packaging look identical to the real deal. There are a few websites that specialise in helping to detect fakes that can help e.g Click here. Like any transaction over the net, you need to try and look at the big picture. Is the deal too good to be true? How long has the trader been operating?, Do they have genuine feedback/reputation etc. For a crooked dealer, earphones are the ideal commodity. High retail prices, cost virtually nothing to buy in, difficult to detect. Mind you, not every dealer is selling fakes by any means - but an awful lot do. I now prefer to pay a litle more money to reputable dealers who are trying to earn an honest crust.
