I had one of these, its a good little player but a bit flimsy.
Also it has fm radio.
#7
I'm not sure how you define flimsy, but i think it's pretty sturdy! Mine has taken some battering, and it's still going strong.
#8
Hopefully not treading on anyone's toes.

This is Muvo V100 - it doesn't have the FM radio - its the Creative Nano that has the radio.

Excellent find, thank you

Agreed. Had mine (128Mb version) for over 2 years. No problems. Battery life is excellent.

These are fine, well built and sound good too :) Thanks for the pointer edi!

I've got one of these, bought it a while back when they were £99. Highly recommended, excellent wee player.

watch out - the V100 is only USB1. = very slow song transfers.

i shortlisted this for someone but when found out (and Creative wouldn't confirm its USB2, and with other users we decided it must be USB1 and wont be firmware fixable) i gave up on this one.
The MUVO TX is almost the same, slightly bigger but is USB2 (but is black in 1GB i believe).

why on earth creative released a bigger capacity revision with USB1 is a mystery.

they also have not very good screens, i would now recommend Samsungs U1 and U2 players, which you can get refurb (like new really) from auction sites for similar or less. they feel a lot more classy generally aswell.
here's a link http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=12490 about £10 more but worth it imho.

I work in Currys and sell these myself. Very reliable from what ive seen. Only got one or two of these back from all the hundreds that have been sold. The samsung U2's as mentioned above are better players, roughtly the same price but break down alot more.

yep interesting, what is it that goes on the U1 - the hinge, or something internal? i was guessing the number of refurbs available was not a great sign.
as i said though the creative players do feel plasticky whereas the samsungs feel expensive (IMHO).
if there's a good 3rd option i'm all ears, because the creative designs are 2-3 years old and its time to come into 2007 imho ;)
