This is the Creative ZEN at a glance. Decked out in an all-black suit, the Creative ZEN is smaller than your average credit card and sits snugly right in your palm. With an attractive 11.3mm thickness, this sleek player weighs a mere 65g, allowing you to carry it around easily. And with its patented ZEN user interface, which offers more information to be viewed on the screen, navigating through mass content is simply a breeze.

Thanks for the post. I've updated it to include the delivery charge, which we always try to show here. :)

From the cnet video review, US retail price of USD149 for 4gb, USD199 for 8gb and around USD300 for 16gb. So this price still not a bargain isn't?

What do you think credit card size against the Ipod? I ordered it to use on the tube as I have an 1 hour journey everyday. This thing allows divx so want to watch heroes and prison break on the mooove.

Oh yes the 4gb version is £75 in america, but if think of postage from there its better to get it here using a voucher or discount code. Oh I had checked Play.com the night before they just reduced it yesterday by £10.

Updated OP to play.com deal instead....

Thanks emma

Erm, there is no mention of this player having expandable memory on the Play website? If indeed it does, what kind of card will it accept?
#13
SD Cards :)
#14
Watch the review they zoom in and show you the card slot!!

Amazon £99 - £15 DVD rental offer promotion.

Why this is an ipod killer:

Larger screen than nano.
Expandable slot (Toshiba has announced 64GB cards... obviously will increase in time)
Has radio.. ipod does not.
Drag and drop.. no ghey tunes.
Plays divx/xvid.

With the slot I do not understand why people will get an 8GB or 16GB, unless they need the space right now...... while cards are still relatively expensive.

If you read small print, you also dont get warranty coverage outside country of purchase. For creative that is.

#24
the scandisk view that you want is out and there is a deal on hotdealsuk edi posted one I believe

Has that actually been released though? That press release dates back to January and I'm not seeing any sign of that device for sale.

I have a Sansa E280, good little device especially for the money and has mass storage support which is a big plus for me.

which ones included?
#31
usb or charger

It prob comes with USB

might come with wall charger like the 1st Zen Vision M

Go to there website for more infomation

The only downside to this player is MPEG4, DIVX and XVID have to be converted to the format on the Zen. People want to drag and drop episodes of Lost, 24 etc and watch on the move without having to spend the time of the episode converting it.

Can someone please confirm whether this Creative Zen will definitely take SDHC cards? If not then no one will be putting anything over 2/4gb in this player right? I sure it's only SDHC cards that go over 4gb. The above mentioned Sansa player for example will definitely not take SDHC.

I've read in the cnet review that creative will take SDHC cards.

Fun features for all
Exploring the top side of the Zen also reveals one of the new extras we alluded to earlier. In another departure from the norm, Creative has built in an SD card expansion slot--a first for its MP3 players. We're happy to report that the slot can take SDHC cards, which currently go up to 16GB in the full-size SD variety. (Of course, at a price that exceeds the 16GB Zen itself, those are a bit cost-prohibitive at the moment.) Considering the move away from more capacious hard drive memory, we definitely think the addition of memory expansion was a wise--and necessary--move.

Thanks Hiro. Rep added for all the info!

This has got Christmas present for me written all over it. By then the 16gb memory cards will be down to about £40, which is what the 8gb ones cost now. Sweet!!!

Anyone looking for a cheap xmas gift, I got three of these not bad video quality but you have to convert using software provided. Time consuming. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/126083
