Is this better than ipod?

I've had both an I think it is. Mainly as iTunes are annoying... but iPods are also overpriced!

Both are very hot. Recently got 4gb £45 xmas sale (£52). Go for it. If crashing on a mp3, use a pin to reset (hole at base) & never connect/disconnect while in SD card mode, instead double click zen-explorer in my-computer folder (install CD 1st) to switch to docked mode for safe usb disconnect.

To access SD, go to its menu, choose 2nd opt: Removable disk, connect usb cable, pops up as external drive in my-computer folder. If corrupted reformat SD. Download SD Formatter at bottom of page:

cheap 16 gb sd:

I too own the 8GB Zen. A great little MP3 player. I use mine maily to watch TV shows and films.
#13
The sonys give way better sound quality I've found.
#14
bought the missus one of these 4GB version but you can top them up with an sd card good mp3 player
#15
I've had 2 of the originals die on me. White screen of death. Go for the X-fi version which doesn't seem to suffer from this problem.
#16
Hmm good to see the Wifi version down in price but amazon were doing the 16GB (non X-fi) Zen for around 70 quid over christmas when they had there double memory deal on similar to that of there Sony NWZ-S639FB 16GB which is now back up in price to £94.99 so be warned this probably will come back down in price again, im gonna wait it out!
#17
could it record sound?
#18
Ive got the 4gb version and I agree it's the best MP3 I've ever had. I love it for watching films when I'm commuting on the train, and in my lunch break.
Definitely recommended to all.
#19
could it record sound?

yes.
#20
I quite fancy an mp3 player that handles FLAC but this doesn't seem to. Can anyone recommend me an mp3 player that does for under £100?

Excellent, thank you. I'll check that out.

Could this be the same 8gb Zen player on Aria net for under £45 quid?

http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Bargain+Basement/Z-8GB+ICE+MP3%2FMP4+Media+Player?productId=34662

Descriptions for the bargains are always very vague on there. They usually turn out to be top notch and undersold though ;-)

Looks like an awsome deal. I was wondering if anybody knows if it comes with any sort of cover?? If not, what is the best way to get it covered on a years warante?? Because knowing my luck it'll break the next day. :p
Cheers!

Buy from Amazon not their market-resellers, guaranteed: think 1 yr. Ask amazon to make sure.
